The place is amazing, the Christmas decorations are all over the place and it really makes it magical. The music immediately puts you in the best mood and in tune.

We visited this restaurant on a weekend afternoon — two adults and one child — and ended up waiting almost two hours in line. We knew there would be a wait because of the holiday season and no reservations being accepted, but the wait was still longer than expected. The host kept seating parties of two, sometimes multiple pairs, which made us wonder why they couldn’t seat a group of three sooner.
Inside, the place is absolutely stunning with floor-to-ceiling Christmas decorations — honestly, that’s what made the long wait a bit more bearable. Once we were seated, service was slow but the food came out pretty quickly. The food itself was just average. The calamari starter was small for the price, my steak sandwich was good and generously portioned, but the salmon was just okay. They also ran out of one dessert option, so we skipped dessert and opted to get something better elsewhere.
Overall, if you’re going for the holiday ambiance and don’t mind a long wait for just average food, it’s worth it for the décor and photo ops. Otherwise, I wouldn’t bother.

Papillon Bar is such a gem. They decorate the entire place for every holiday, and Christmas is by far the most magical, it feels like stepping into a festive movie set. They don’t take table reservations in advance, so the line can get really long, but if you don’t mind sitting at the bar you can usually walk right in, which is a huge plus.
Their drinks are always great, and the food is surprisingly good too. The pesto grilled chicken is absolutely delicious, and the mozzarella sticks are perfectly crispy and cheesy. Overall, a beautiful spot with great vibes, especially during the holidays.

The best Christmas decorations I’ve seen at any other food and drink place. You’re paying for the atmosphere. Food is good.
They do not accept reservations but do accommodate for the Christmas tour buses that stop for a meal during the NYC Christmas tours. So even though we were 5th in line when they opened. We waited nearly an hour to get seated. This was not conveyed to us when we checked in as a party of 2! During our wait two, very full, tour buses were seated before those of us waiting outside.

Really nice set up with lots and LOTS of Halloween decor and the food was pretty decent as well. The menu does not have a huge variety but the dishes even the sandwiches were very tasty. I had fried Calamari which was nice and crispy along with the chicken sandwich and that was very fresh and good! I only had a hard time getting some sauce and they were not even busy, but other than that the service was good too. The hostess was really kind and directed us to the location we desired, right up the stairs as soon as we walked in.
The bars were nice with plenty of options to pick from. The place is pretty big with a bar upstairs and downstairs. It seems they decorate this place for all the holidays and they go all out so it is quite EXTRAVAGANT. I will definitely visit again for a quick meal. Keep up the great work!

Visited during the Christmas holiday, the decorations were indescribable! Service was pretty decent for a Saturday. My party of eight sat at a high table, however the chairs were super unstable(don’t recommend if you have small children). I ordered the Pesto Chicken Sandwich which comes with fries, thin sliced and hearty serving. They have a variety of seasonal drinks, which I really appreciate. I got the Bad Santa which was good overall, however could’ve been colder. Overall, Papillon’s is a cute Bistro with lots to see.

Decorated so lovely for Christmas!! Like no other place I’ve ever been. The wait staff was so nice and friendly. My niece said the drinks were amazing. My spring rolls were so good and my daughter loved her cheesecake! Prices were better than on Long Island!! Go!!!!

Now I don’t leave low reviews often (check my profile) and I was teetering between two stars and three but I decided to be nice… So we had a reservation at 6:15 and got seated a little early. Very nice. The place wasn’t too crowded and it actual wasn’t that loud. The Christmas music was nice. And of course the decorations were amazing! It was like Santa threw up in here but in a good way. Everywhere I looked was something festive and pretty to look at. I love the garland. We ordered our food and the guy poured us our water. But this is when things began to go downhill… we ran out of water and our waitress never came back to refill it. She didn’t check on us once. Even when our food came. I’m not here to complain about the food because I figured your paying for the experience not the food. So I understand that the food was average at best. Tasted like frozen chicken and whatnot. The house salad was good very fresh. Two of three of us got our food. And then we were like maybe it’s just taking a little longer for the other. Well we both finished our entire meal and hers still did not come. All the while the waitress had not checked on us ONCE. This was the point I became mad. I eventually was able to FLAG her down and she came over. She speaks hardly any English and seemed to not understand/froget what we said. She was absolutely dumbfounded when we told her taht one of our meals didn’t come. And I also asked her to refill our water. She came back a little later and said sorry something happened here’s some fries on the house. No one wants fries lady. It took forever and she finally brought the meal out. And STILL FROGOT ABOUT THE WATER!!! I called her over again and asked for water she finally brought it. Then when we were trying to get the bill she left and said I’ll be back. She never came back I called her over AGAIN. We paid and she ended up charging us for a extra side taht she never brought. The side veggies NEVER came. I was so done and just wanted to leave. I really wanted dessert but she didn’t ask so I didn’t even bother. For three meals to take a hour and a half is a bit long. So taht is why I’m leaving this rather lengthy and low star review. I’m not happy. I’m disappointed because it was so pretty and beautifully decorated. Oh well…

Celebrated my wife’s birthday on Oct 29th, same time as JPMC’s corporate event/party
I was worried our waiter/waitress wouldn’t be attentive to us, or that our orders would take longer than usual (tends to happen during corporate events), I was happy to have been wrong on all accounts
Juan was super attentive & timely with our drinks and food, even took care of some audible requests on a few drinks. What I appreciated most, he was patient with my group and I, as to not rush bringing out the personalized birthday cake I brought from an alternate establishment.
The food and drinks were really good, the sangrias I highly recommend here. Decorations are absolutely amazing, and the energy/vibes that night made it a birthday dinner to remember.
