Today I bought churros at Papelon and it was a very disappointing experience. The churros we received were burnt and had very little dulce de leche and chocolate on top. We had ordered Nutella and dulce de leche, but instead they used regular chocolate. When we went back to explain the situation, they told us that adding Nutella would be an extra charge, even though that is exactly what we had ordered and paid for. The food quality and customer service were very poor, and overall it was a very frustrating experience.

A very cozy ambiance, with food for all taste buds. The flavor is there with every bite. I have tried a lot of the arepas, which always hits the spot, as well as their cachapas. Their homemade drinks are amazing. Service is wonderful. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good bite and a good time!

I was a little confused at first but you can either order up front or just sit down and wait for your order to be taken. I had the arepa papellon and it was amazing! I didn’t know such a combo could taste sooo good!! My husband had the chicken arepas which were good too. Also, they have an allergy sign before you order so check that out.

The customer service was very good, however, the Empanadas were just average. They were freshly made and hot, but even with sauce they were just not flavorful. I would be willing to return to try other dishes.

Took about half an hour to get a burger and arepa. No empanadas left on a Saturday afternoon. The burger is unique enough to try. You’re better off getting a gyro somewhere else for half the price and double the size of an arepa.

I order a Pabellon. Beef was cold from the fridge they microwave the rice and the beans but the beef needed more time. Menu items not available & tables dirty. too expensive for reheated food. Thanks but I don’t recommend this please

I must say the atmosphere is nice. Empty. Never any business anytime I pass by or in the plaza. But walking in there, I feel like it’ll be a nice little spot with maybe a DJ or some type of music. Maybe promotion and better meat & beans would get them on the map more. My food was okay. I ordered the traditional Venezuelan Almuerzo for $16. Rice was perfect. Plantains perfect. But the meat, taste like slim Jim and very dry. Beans were I guess refried but very much over cooked or something. It just wasn’t giving. I ate all the rice and 4 thin sliced plantains they gave me. The customer service was good. He just couldn’t speak English which was okay because I speak a little Spanish enough to get by.

I just happened to pass by this place and thought I’d stop in to see what they served. I ended up ordering two empanadas and some ice cream. Let me tell you, those empanadas were absolutely delicious – the best I’ve ever had! I’ll definitely be coming back to try out some of their other dishes.
