I tried The Halidom for the very first time the other day with some good friends. We definitely liked the different food options that were available. I seriously had the Shrimp Drunken Noodles in mind to eat. But after seeing one of my friend’s food, the Basil Beef, looking so good, I switched my order. OH MY GOSH! That meal was SO tasty. I must go back to get it again, AND to also try out the Shrimp Drunken Noodles. Everything is fresh because it is cooked to order. I loved it. I will definitely go back!

The Basil fried rice isn’t exactly fried the way you would imagine it, coming from a Chinese restaurant. Both genres of cuisine cooks rice different from each other with Chinese being the more flavorful palate of food than Thai! Chinese restaurants actually fries their rice. Papaya misled their customers on Basil Fried Rice! The precooked ingredients is heated up on a hibachi-like table but the rice itself sits in a a pot they considers ‘fried rice’! I was so pissed off to have gotten my food and the rice was flavorless! I mentioned this to the Papaya manager who refused to make this right or issue a refund. What was I thinking? I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy! Total waste of time over a ruined meal.

Not original thai. Mall food court tastes better. Spent $22 on Pad see eww, not my 1st time. As soon as I saw it, I choked. Dry as hell, as if you boiled the noodle al dente. No sauce, no flavor even the meat felt like leather, no seasoning. Don’t bother, had to order from the Gyro spot,so much better.

The basil beef and panang chicken are very good. We have also had the basil chicken and cashew chicken which aren’t as good but still good. Mmm They have been running BOGO deals on Door Dash go quite a while. We’ve eaten there and ordered delivery. Each time we’ve ordered, the portions have gotten smaller. This will be our last order.

The food was pretty good, but we did not find the portion size and/or taste to be worth $20 for one tray of an entree. However, with its location, it’s somewhat understandable though not entirely. Overall, I wouldn’t eat here again but for those who don’t mind the price, it’s not bad food 🙂 def has a kick to it.
