ELEGANT ENTERTAINERS
We went to Papaya on New Year’s Eve & it was THE BEST DECISION EVER. Front the we entered we were made to feel welcome to the time we left.

We spent almost 2 hours at the restaurant and their dishes were full of flavour, meat was well cooked and less oily compared to most over hyped restaurants out there

The price of every starter, main dishes & their drinks was very affordable and we would whole heartedly recommend & re-visit Papaya again with our family & friends

The main highlight is the owner of the restaurant who ensures all his customers are satisfied every step of the way throughout their visit which is above and beyond what every restaurant management should take note of

What a Brilliant Modern Ceylon (Sri Lankan) restaurant with a wide variety of choices. They also serve Dosas which is a Plus

Papaya is an asset to the Ealing varsinity. Highly Recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the best Sri Lankan cuisine in all of London. Their kothu roti, prawn curry, meat samosa, and hoppers are all authentic and delicious. The customer service is very good. Vandana and the owner are very kind and nice. The atmosphere is good. I’ve been a regular customer here for a few years now.

Front of house welcoming, friendly and attentive.
Food superb. In our party of 4 we had a selection of beef tikka fish and chicken. All dishes were 5 star and the beef curry was exceptional.
The dhal and paneer were great sides.
This restaurant is a cut above and worth a detour.

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic dinner date at Papaya. We started with the papadams and fish cutlets, which were both excellent. The egg hoppers were a standout, perfectly light and authentic. For the mains, the beef and mutton curries were tender and packed with rich, complex spices. We finished with the coconut ice cream in a coconut shell, a refreshing end. Impeccable customer service and a warm atmosphere make this London’s best spot for authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. Highly recommended!

Visited twice. First time I visited I ordered the veggie dosa. They reheated the sauce in a microwave. But the dosa was delicious.
Second time I went with my nephew and there was only 1 other customer but the server wouldn’t let us sit at a side table, they wanted to seat us in the middle of the restaurant, so we walked out.
Veggie dosa was £15

We visited Papaya on a sunny June evening, and the food matched the mood: warm, vibrant, and full of character. The menu blends Sri Lankan and South Indian classics, delivering bold, comforting flavours with every bite. The mutton rolls and prawn curry were highlights for my wife, while I particularly enjoyed the okra curry and the perfectly crisp masala dosa, a real treat for vegetarians. Thoughtful service and a relaxed atmosphere rounded off a lovely evening. Highly recommended.

The Sri Lankan food is full of flavour, but the real highlight for me was the mutton rolls. Perfectly crispy on the outside, rich and spiced with a generous amount of mutton in the inside, and honestly some of the best I’ve had in a long time.

If you’re into authentic Sri Lankan flavours, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back just for those mutton rolls.
