Excellent place for happy hr. I came here around 6:30 pm on a Monday. Hookah for $25 during happy hr and you can choose the flavor (much cheaper than the hookah next door at $40). They only had two flavors to choose from, which is fine because usually for happy hr you can only pick mint (from my experience at other places). I also ordered two sangrias- very small portion (not to mention the ice too), but to be expected for a happy hr, I guess. I was worried the sangria would be overly sweet or watered down, but it wasn’t. The food is a great value at $10 for most dishes- I received three fish tacos for this price, it was a generous portion and very tasty!
I look forward to returning; however, the service could be improved. I found my waiter to be very awkward and not accustomed to serving English-only speaking patrons. He wasn’t mean but he also wasn’t friendly either. The hostess was actually a little more friendly.
Gratuity is automatically included and hookah is cash only (I thought it was very odd my waiter didn’t inform me of this but I was prepared). Spent 34 for food and drinks with with everything included (minus hookah). Everything was great quality, I found it to be a good deal.
Update: there’s a new hookah guy and it sucks

A lovely spot! Theres no siting inside because of Covid, but they have plenty of seating outdoors. Unfortunately though there were bees that were bothering my sisters & I plus 3 other seated guests. It was extremely frustrating & slightly scary. Though the food was good, rich in taste & a hefty serving size for a great price, those bees were unruly & persistent. I love the fact that it’s right next to the A train which is always a plus when traveling from Manhattan. I loved the decor of space & the well thought out(& clean) bathroom. My sisters & I went in the afternoon around 2:15pm it wasn’t busy until we were getting ready to leave. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant.

Stopped by for happy hour. We had the empanadas and chicken nachos which were really good and also tacos (which I wasn’t too fond of because it had a herbal taste) the frozen margaritas were also really good. The hookah was amazing but service from waitress could’ve been a little better but I completely understand because it was slightly busy. Will definitely be back!

It was a great first time experience. The service a bit long with our food but honestly, I am a patient person and the food was great. The lemon margarita was tasty and the passion fruit as well. I love the music which is the music I prefer. It was really great and awesome. Will come back!

We never got to order food or drinks because the host never came back out to take our order, service horrible, atmosphere none because it was only 3 people in there. A gentleman sitting at the bar and the two of us and we still didn’t get any service, so we took our money next door to TABU and had a great time. I will not waste my time to say any more!. P.S. the smiles in the pictures are upon arriving… I don’t think you wanted to see a picture of my face leaving.

Calm spot w/ good vibes, food was great but they were understaffed
This place is right next to mama sushi on Dyckman and its pretty chill. It has plenty of seating with a cute outdoor area, a semi-indoor/outdoor patio-ish area, a bar area and more seating in the back. You can order drinks and hookah, its mad chill.
I got the shrimp and lobster mofongo, it was a little dry (which was annoying because the menu specifies the sauce and it was there just in a very small amount) but the lobster was fresh and tender and the plate was very tasty once they brought additional sauce. My friend got the churrasco mofongo, it was a great dish.
The food was great, however it did take a an hour to get to our table. They were clearly understaffed as the place is quite large.
The place was a bit pricey but nothing crazy, expected price for Dyckaman these days.

If you are not a fan of hookah don’t come here. The restaurant itself its great and so is the food. The drinks are not water down which is always a plus and the ambience is great. The restrooms don’t really have any handles for disabled guests and the sink is outside of the actual restroom.

As I walked into Papasitos, I was hit by a wave of energy and excitement that was hard to ignore. The restaurant was buzzing with activity, with diners laughing and chatting over plates of delicious-looking food. It was clear that this was a place that knew how to have a good time.
Located in the heart of Dyckman, Papasitos was a Mexican restaurant that was not to be missed. And if you’re in the market for an exclusive brunch experience, this was the place to be. The vibes were simply amazing – from the upbeat music to the colorful decor, everything about Papasitos screamed “fiesta”.
But it wasn’t just the atmosphere that impressed me. The level of service and quality of food at Papasitos was by far superior to their counterparts, mamasushi and mamajuna. The staff were friendly and attentive, always making sure that we had everything we needed. And the food was simply out of this world. From the guacamole and chips to the huevos rancheros, every dish was bursting with flavor and made with the freshest ingredients.
But what really set Papasitos apart was the attention to detail. The presentation of each dish was impeccable, with bright colors and bold flavors that made every bite a feast for the senses. And the cocktails were a work of art in themselves, with creative combinations that were both delicious and Instagram-worthy.
In the end, my experience at Papasitos was nothing short of amazing. A celebration of food, culture, and community. So if you’re in Dyckman and looking for an unforgettable brunch experience, make sure to check out Papasitos. It’s a restaurant that’s sure to leave a lasting impression.

Since the place is always crowded it will take some time for you to get your drinks and food. The food is really good and their drinks too. After a certain time 11pm I believe they remove the tables because it turns Into lounge. So they will tell you to hurry if you are having dinner , so go early for dinner. You cant go in with hats , sweatpants. The place get really crowded, they have a DJ after 11pm. They offer hookah too. Place is not too expensive but it’s not cheap. I definitely recommend the food. Everything its delicious
