We use to come here all the time, but since we moved to Lyman, this is the first time in 20 years. Usually we always got breakfast, and it was always great.
We are doing the Spartanburger Trail, and Papas is on the list.
We all got their Big burger all the way, It was amazing, I would have liked it better personally if it was on a bun instead of Texas toast.
The onion rings were great, and the fries were also.

I liked this place a lot! They’re open 24 hours (most of the time) , good comfort food, & a really fun relaxed atmosphere. I enjoy when you are more like friends/ people, rather than just customers. Some people don’t, so if you can’t be understanding of the stressful diner atmosphere this isn’t the place for you, cuz some of the workers were overwhelmed & multitasking. But they were fun and kind and I enjoyed meeting the employees. It’s nice to be talked to like a person & not a rehearsed can I take your order. It was fun to be there & I definitely ate my fill!!

It could have been a rough day for the staff when I was there but Papa’s was a classic diner without the diner speed. The food took an hour to come out, were out of silverware and my omelette was really just eggs on top of vegetables. I would be willing to give it a second try because the place was packed and the servers were doing their best. I wish they would have stopped taking to go orders with how packed it was inside

24/7 Breakfast establishment in downtown Spartanburg. CASH ONLY or use the ATM machine they have for a surcharge. Unfortunately, the food (Belgium waffles and eggs) had no flavor and they overused the margarine on everything. I will say this the staff are very friendly and prices are very reasonable.

I have always heard great things about this place and finally tried it. The food was good. Service was great! The prices are good for the quantity and quality. We got two omelettes, grits and pancakes. Only comment I have is I wish they had better ventilation because it felt like we were breathing the fumes off the stove top. We had a great time though!

Just not well executed at all. Menu said Spartanburg’s #1 burger so I went for it. Failed miserably. If it was close I’d understand. Took forever to get order. Country ham was tuff and had salt added to it. Salad was just a mess. While waiting for or order they shouted they had to stop taking orders because the cooks weren’t able to perform their job. I ordered French toast for dessert and it was good and refreshing. It was the only redeeming thing about this visit.

The reviews do not do this establishment justice! The food was immaculate! The place was clean as can be, and the staff were very nice! I visited at 5 AM, and it took a few minutes, but this is a great place to eat! 10/10!

First time here wasn’t what we expected kind of a run down dumpy place dirty on the floors food was very overpriced for what u got our food was bland and overall not that good! Potatoes that came with the omelet was ice cold and the eggs for the omelet was paper thin! And a another waitress constantly reached over us why we’re eating getting condiments and salt shakers then we seen a lady scooping out butter with her bare hands and no gloves on I wouldn’t come back to this place.

My beautiful friend had the Florentine Omelette with homefries, serving was so big, she’s taking the rest home for later. I had the Papa’s Old fashioned Buttermilk drenched with Syrup and whipped margarine.
