Made an impulse stop and we weren’t sorry. I wish they had more veg (plant -based) options. However, they quickly modified my dish when I asked for no meat. They offered avocado at no extra charge, and they piled a LOT of avocado on top. I was tickled. Definitely heading back on the road with full tummies, and a smile on our faces.

Where to begin? The food is amazing! The atmosphere is so refreshing. Everything is made fresh. They have a salsa bar stocked with different salsas ranging from mild to spicy. There’s something for everyone. The staff is so polite and the drinks from the bar are to die for. Super clean as well. 10/10 in my book. Can’t wait to visit again.

Update – since this place is close to home it makes sense that I should come more often. I went with some friends and the food was great.

Mayte gonzale makes us want to come back to eat there all the time. She is a wonderful waitress and very sweet. The place is a great place to eat. They are all friendly and they care about their customers that come in. If you go there ask for mayte she’s the best.

We absolutely love visiting our Hwy 81 Papas and Beer! All of the staff is so welcoming and we get the best service! Miguel always goes out of his way to greet us and our toddler. He even made him a surprise smoothie our last dine in. Food is so satisfying as always and comes out quickly. Since moving out of SC, this is the one place we miss the most. Every time we go visit our grown kids we make a stop in. The steak in any dish is delicious. The taco salad is amazing (I get mine without the dressing). Plate sizes are great. Service is usually wonderful. We have no good Mexican where I live. Please bring a Papa’s and Beer to the Florida Keys!!
