My daughter was ecstatic when a true burger joint opened up on 30A. We’ve eaten here a handful of times. Lemon pepper wings and papas cheese fries (mmmm queso) are our chosen starters. We’ve had the Burnin it Down & Beach Cowboy burger & the Blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich. Generous serving of waffle fries comes with each burger. We loved it all! Great service! Friendly staff! Love the outdoor seating area around the bar.

Incredible food. Our party had burgers and the fish sandwich, all were delicious. The cheese fries are to die for and best chicken wings we’ve ever had. They make a really good Margarita!! When we went they had a blue grass band and it was such a fun atmosphere! We will for sure be coming back, great lunch spot!!

I literally hardly ever leave reviews on Google, but this place 10000% deserves it! First of all, the atmosphere is amazing. Inside & out. Last time, we sat outside under the Magnolia while listening to an artist that was once on The Voice as we ate our heavenly burgers. That brings me to the next thing – THE FOOD. Honestly speechless at how great specifically The Change Up is. I’m a ‘get chicken everywhere’ type that rarely goes for a burger because they’re just not my favorite, but man, that is one of the best of anything I’ve ever put in my mouth. The Papa’s Sauce is also absolutely amazing. And the sweet potato fries are also so so good. Also, the servers are all so conversational, attentive, and nice. Lastly, to be in the middle of 30A, the prices aren’t bad at all. My boyfriend & I got out of there under $50 including tip for some of the most phenomenal food we’ve had (he agrees). We live about an hour & a half away & came for the first time about a month ago & just left again & had been counting it down after we left the last time. Cannot recommend this place enough!

The burgers and the salad were delicious. They had a nice texture to the taste which was as different and rich. One big issue we had the server was that he charged us 4 extra beers !!! Accidents happen but the attitude of the server (only one of them, rest was good) was awkward but he took responsibility. He issued refund fast.

I absolutely loved this restaurant! I ordered the Jam Sesh burger with sweet potato fries, as well as the cheese curds, everything was delicious. This restaurant has a great atmosphere, an awesome outdoor setup as well as live music. Our waiter (wish i remembered his name!) was excellent and went above and beyond! highly enjoyed and definitely will return!

Cool place- tucked back a bit from 30A. If you blink you might miss it. We stumbled upon it on a late walk- We were lured by the sounds of a songstress at the Tuesday night Karaoke- We decided we had to go the next day- we went for lunch and I ordered the Jam Sesh burger- Goat cheese ,bacon cherry jam reduction, and arugula. perfectly cooked-

Been traveling a bit and hadn’t got a chance to get back to Papa service Burger bar to hook up with Jon The manager and say hello. It was a pleasant surprise when we ordered our usual Burgers that we loved there and there were even that much better. Plus the waffle fries and waffle sweet potato fries were excellent. So crispy and so tasty and moist on the inside. The burger patties were outstanding. Jon said that they had changed vendors for the meat, beef patties and the fries and what a huge upgrade. It was great before but now it’s fantastic! Definitely got to go back there again and get me another burger before I leave town this week and sit out by the big old magnolia tree at the bar and enjoy the live music and the fresh air. You just don’t get any better than this! Come in and give him a try. You won’t be disappointed I guarantee!
We went to Papa’s Surf’s about a month after they opened. The burgers were small, overpriced and fries didn’t come with it. Drinks were too high with the amount you got and really was disappointed. Didn’t think I was going to go back but we thought we’d give him one more try since it’s such a great location and great atmosphere. We were all pleasantly surprised how much they have changed. 100% turnaround for them! Thanks to the new manager Jon He’s done a fantastic job with the food, the ambiance and the music selection.All our Burgers were fantastic and they gave ample amount of waffle fries. Didn’t even finish them. You have your choice between regular waffle fries and waffle sweet potato fries. The gang we were with Burn it Down, Change Up, The Beach Cowboy, Steakhouse Burgers and all of them are fantastic and cook perfect. We also had an order of the garlic cheese curds were you so yummy! The girls had champagne and we had Paparita which is Coconut rum, pineapple juice and blue Curacao which fit right in with our beachy mood! So we’re glad we gave him a second try after talking to John and telling us the story about his transformation of Papa Surf I will definitely be back again and will be one of our regular watering holes. Great job guys! The staff was fantastic. Great bartender!
