Food is outstanding, far better than Chimis that recently opened up in town. Decent prices too. You won’t be disappointed. Best birra tacos around. We go every week and every week the food is consistent and amazing. We tried chimis and my husband and I both got food poisoning. I hope papa osos stays in morton.

Quality BBQ for the fraction of the price you’d expect! Great staff with funny wits! Love that they were speedy and everything was done properly.

Oscar treated us great, and the new menu items were fantastic! We had Arroz Con Camarones and Pollo A La Crema and both were just fantastic, the sauces were so good.

Thanks and see you again soon

Ate here on our way to Mt Ranier. Ordered full rack of BBQ and it was such a large serving, too big for the 3 of us! Unfortunately they were out of several items on the menu, thus the 4 star instead of 5.

We arrived with a group late Saturday evening just before closing, after we had gotten flushed out of our campground by a huge lightning & rainstorm—AND after stopping at another cafe in Randle which had a power outage before our food came. So Papa Oso in Morton was a “Hail Mary” dinner stop for us! We were welcomed in and treated like family despite the late hour & wild weather. Excellent margaritas & beer served ice-cold in glasses…fabulous house-made salsa & chips…all our food was excellent, beautifully presented, with generous portions. Service was friendly, and we even got to meet & say a quick hello & thank you to our chef. Lovely experience, we will definitely be back for more whenever we’re in the area!

My first time as a local coming here. Oscar, who seated us, took our order, and took care of us the entire time was friendly and genuine. A very hard worker as people continued to come in. Very positive experience.

That aside, I ordered the Chicken Enchilada Burrito… the portion was beyond what I expected and the taste just as much. My new favorite local restaurant.

I tried the California Burrito. I thought it looked interesting, containing cheese fries. I enjoyed it very much and the waiter often checked up on me. My father tried the shrimp burrito. He said it was “really good” and had a “rich authentic flavor”.

Summary: affordable, authentic, fresh Mexican food with excellent service.

First time stopping at this little place. It definitely won’t be the last.
First, the service was top notch. We went on a Tuesday night and only two guys were working. Joshua was working the FOH and he did a superb job. Had a great attitude, very courteous, friendly, attentive, and genuine.
Second, the food… wow! Delicious, hot, and fresh! 3 days later and I’m still craving the carnitas street tacos. My husband ordered chicken & steak fajitas. The meat was piled high on one full sized dinner plate with the onions/peppers, rice, and beans filling a second plate. He loved it and we both enjoyed a meal of leftovers the next day. Complimentary chips & salsa are usually my incentive for going to a Mexican restaurant, and these were very good. Lemonade was tasty too.
Third, great prices. Very affordable for dinner and drinks, especially considering the quality and quantity.
Restaurant itself is a little hole-in-the-wall but felt clean and quaint and holds some Mexican charm.
Overall 9/10

I’m giving three stars to reflect our first visit and second visit combined. We first ate dinner here on 8/13/2021. The pot roast was ok. The chicken jerk salad was very good. The dessert was amazing and our waiter was wonderful. We ate here a second time on 8/15/2021. Totally different experience. Although the chicken fried steak was very good, the baked beans were cold and the dinner salad came after the dinner because the waitress forgot. I ordered the exact same salad and although it was good, not nearly as good as the previous night. Finding chicken in the salad was difficult. The largest difference was we were the only customers in the establishment and after receiving our meal, it was like we did not exist. We had planned to order dessert but the waitress never even looked our way. We even piled our dishes at the end of the table to signal we were done but it did no good as the waitress never looked at our table…the only table with customers! We finally gave up. Got up. Went to the cash register and paid our bill. We will not be back.
