I’ve always thought of Papa Murphy’s as the “in-between” option — not quite dine-in, not exactly traditional takeout — and after trying it in Seattle, I kind of get the appeal.
The concept is simple: you order your pizza, they assemble it fresh right in front of you, then you take it home and bake it yourself. At first, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about doing the final step, but honestly, there’s something satisfying about pulling a hot pizza out of your own oven. It smells amazing, and you get that just-baked crispness that delivery sometimes loses during the drive.
The ingredients tasted fresh, especially the veggies. The crust baked up nicely — golden on the outside, soft inside — and the cheese melted evenly without getting greasy. I also appreciate that you can customize pretty much everything. It feels a little more personal than grabbing a pre-made pie.
That said, this isn’t the spot if you’re starving and want instant food. You do need to factor in baking time. But for a relaxed night in Seattle — maybe when it’s raining and you’re staying cozy at home — it actually fits the mood perfectly.
Overall, Papa Murphy’s isn’t about the dine-in experience. It’s about convenience with a homemade twist. Not fancy, not trendy — just solid, customizable pizza that lets you finish the job yourself. And sometimes, that’s exactly what you want.

Little hiccup in messing up my order (forgot to add the red sauce) and they fixed it! Even gave me the one the messed up. Not sure what to do with a pizza with no sauce but when you fold it in half, you get a calzone! Thanks again for making it right.

Papa Murphys is a classic- the food quality just doesn’t get better for the price. Sometimes they are overwhelmed -not the fault of the staff – but it can make for huge delays, or even not being able to get ur pizza that day. Over all, I very much support and recommend – the only reason they probably get backed up is how good they are for the price.
