I arrived at the store at 8:34pm, checked before I left my house that the store closed at 9. I walked in to order a pizza the person working said they are closed. I asked if they realized it was barely 830 and I wanted to order.
They replied,” but all my stuff is cleaned and put away. So I recheck closing…nope not 8.30pm the time when they had everything broke down and put away. I watched two other couples get turned away at the door before it was 8:45. Really folks?! This is our future and no this isn’t a complaint that some poor sod didn’t get there pizza.
My first job was at Pizza hut in Federal way across from seatac mall. Closing time was 12:00 midnight and not 1 minute sooner. We would frequently get groups of 20 to 40 people right at closing. none of this…oh sorry I’m too ‘whatever’ to do my job. The CEO and co. would often drop in for pizza un-announced late at night to check on things. Granted this is dine in also…shouldn’t make a difference. We were washing pizza pans till 3am most weekends. Times change but some things should remain. If you want to close at 8 or 830 just let us know, change the time on Google please.
Ps. When the person answering the phones at a pizza establishment just says, “hello”, it sounds like calling the wrong number. The expectation is for papa Murphys to verify, 1 this is pm that you called and 2 which location you called. Saves wrong store orders.
Might need a little managing over at the mount lake terrace store.
Uhg!
Over the past few years, our experiences at this location have significantly deteriorated, prompting us to consider taking our business elsewhere. Here are some specific instances that have contributed to our frustration:
Consistent Bias in Treatment: On multiple occasions, we have experienced biased treatment based on our appearance. During one visit, when we were dressed casually in house clothes, no make up and we were treated with blatant disrespect. In stark contrast, during another visit where we were dressed in work attire with hair and makeup done and jewelry on, we received much better service. This discrepancy in treatment is deeply disheartening and unacceptable.
Promotion Miscommunication: Recently, we received an email promotion for a BOGO offer. Nowhere in the email did it mention that the offer was “online only.” Despite having five different people read the email to confirm this, the staff at the store refused to honor the promotion. While we understand the importance of following promotional rules, we were already at the store trying to get a quick dinner for our family due to a recent bereavement. The refusal to honor the promotion, coupled with the rude, curt and flippant behavior of the staff, left us feeling upset and devalued.
Lack of Customer Service and Cleanliness: During our visits, we have consistently observed a lack of customer service, empathy, and kindness from the staff. Their rude demeanor, coupled with the store’s poor cleanliness—littered floors, dirty counters, and staff without proper hygiene practices—has been shocking and unacceptable. As well as the staff bragging that the owner “supports this behavior and decisions”.
It is disheartening to see such a decline in service quality and cleanliness at an establishment we once loved. Given the current global climate, it is more important than ever to approach each customer with kindness and patience. Disagreements can be handled professionally without resorting to rudeness or disrespect.
As much as we have enjoyed supporting Papa Murphy’s over the years, we can no longer continue visiting the Mountlake Terrace location. Instead, we will be referring our business to the Lynnwood or Edmonds locations, where we have received much better treatment and service.
We hope that these issues can be addressed promptly to prevent further disappointments for other loyal customers.
