I’ll cut straight to the chase here: a little while back they switched from nuggets of Italian sausage (the standard form topping) to a ground version that resembles hamburger in texture and pretty much in taste too. All I can figure is it must be cheaper to buy, but boy does it have a negative effect on the finished product. It looks to me like this was most likely a corporate level decision, so I don’t blame the local Petaluma store which in all other ways has always put out a quality product and been clean with prompt, friendly service. I hate that they’re forced to put out an inferior product compared to what we’ve purchased from them in the past. My experience is that taste is severely lacking in this ground pork product and the texture/chew is decidedly underwhelming as well. I will be avoiding this particular topping, and unless you’re a hamburger topping lover (something I’ve never understood, frankly), I suggest that you avoid it too.

I enjoy the convenience, price, and the friendly team behind the counter. The only improvement I could suggest would be public restroom facilities. Oh, and remind employees to change gloves after handling the cash and register. But there is no “atmosphere”.

I’ve always had a perfect experience and have got my pizza as I ordered it but this last time I ordered I did not receive one of my toppings I paid for and I ordered light on the sauce but there was hardly any white garlic sauce. I believe the person who made my pizza might have been new. I will continue to order from Pappa Murphys but wld appreciate it if u wld double check my order to make sure it’s made correctly. T u
