When the kids were small, Papa Murphy’s pizza were Godsends – being able to purchase a pre-prepared freshly made by hand pizza to throw into the over later in the evening was such a time-saver!
But the kids are long gone now, and so recently I wanted to see if much had changed at Papa Murphy’s. It hadn’t! I tried a “stock” pizza off their newer menu – a deep dish “Chicago Style” pizza. I was intrigued. $22, which included a tip, and prepared for me in about 5 minutes while I waited. I ordered the largest size, a “Family Size” deep dish.
The pizza was about 5 lbs of ingredients, and the staff carefully walked me through how to bake it. Fantastic people there!
The pizza baked great, as my photos show. What you can’t see is that we added sauercraut to the top (cause it goes well with beer), and also some bacon bits I had handy. The pizza “puffed up” as it baked, to be about 2 inches thick!!!! Seriously, a LOT of pizza. I have had 3 meals with it already! Next time, probably not a “family size” for 2 people, unless you like left-overs!
I give Papa Murphy’s on Cliff Road high marks for speed of preparation of my pizza, cleanliness, great and helpful staff, and unique business model. It is so helpful to have a pizza ready to go into the oven when you want it to! I will certainly go back! I’m happy that I tried the deep dish option first. Next time, thin crust!

5 star atmosphere – I’ve probably been here 40 times and have literally never spoken to anyone inside the store. I walk in, find my pizza and walk back out. They are always busy and my pizza is always ready so there hasn’t been a need. They look like great people though, so 5 stars for atmosphere too

My wife arrived at this store at 7:53 p.m. (April 22nd) to order two peperoni pizzas. The store was open until 8:00 pm. She was told by a worker, “we are not making any more pizzas.” My wife asked if they had and pre made available, and he said “no”. My wife left with no pizzas. We typically have had good service, but the lack of service tonight was very disappointing. I would like to hear from the manager.

We just picked up a pizza and I’m sure it will be fine. We have ordered Murphy’s pizza’s for many years (20) I would like to pass along a problem that we had a week before. My wife went into the same location and forgot her wallet at home but had her check book. Were told in no uncertain terms that no she could not write a check. Now we are talking a 70 year old woman who was made to feel like a low life because she asked to write a check and explained what happened, she came home with out the pizza. I’m surprised that she went back and bought another pizza
