Although this is pizza that you take home and bake in your own oven, it is every bit as good as many sit-down pizzerias. They offer several combinations such as Cowboy and Papa’s Special, or you can choose your own toppings. They also have traditional, thin crust, and deep dish, and you can watch them make your pizza at the counter.

My sister and I went up to Waterloo Papa Murphy’s on Kimball Ave in 7/23/23 to order my nephew a Pokeball Pizza for his birthday. The employee at the cash register was nice, but the male employee who made our pizza complained the entire time AND did an awful job. Literally 15 peps, and a sad line of black olives down the middle. I used to work at this exact Papa Murphy’s location. I couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed in the lack of care and service. However, SINCE I am a past Papa Murphys employee, I was able to use my pizza artistry skills to fix the Pokeball Pizza.
Long story short: if you can’t complete a special request, there is no need to try if you aren’t going to give it your absolute best effort and complain the whole time. Especially with a ten dollar tip.

Iowa isn’t exactly the mecca of pizza. Let’s face it, the states most popular pizza is Casey’s. So in a nostalgic moment, we decided to grab a Papa Murphy’s and bring it home to cook. Pretty much the same as I remember from years ago: decent pizza with a good amount of toppings at a price that wasn’t bad. Wasn’t a big fan of the app for ordering, but that’s definitely not the fault of the individual store. That’s more of a corporate issue.

Nasty dough & wouldn’t replace pizza or refund my money, because someone threw card w/ my name out after calling the next day about it & then went back the next wk. & all their dough was bad & over proofed again. Called corporate office on Tues. 2-4-25 & they didn’t answer or respond back to me after leaving them a message about the situation. They need better training & attitude in that store. I have had previous better experience, but that store is going down hill. If the dough is going bad, make some fresh dough. I got expired garlic monkey bread as well on a previous visit before that.
