I must say when I walked in the front door I was like “oh shoot…” not the kind of people I wanna see making pizzas, but I already ordered so here goes… I even let it sit on my hotel counter for about 20 minutes because I was thinking about not eating it because I’ve seen a lot of disgusting Internet videos. Let’s just leave it at that… well, here’s my pie. I’ll let the picture speak for itself. Edited because I guess you can’t upload pictures on Google reviews, but it was a large cheese pie with four ginormous black burnt bubbles on it about the size of tennis balls. Maybe just a slight hair smaller. Disgusting as I expected. I was saying hey maybe you’re being a little insensitive but nope… my exact thoughts were 100% correct. Oh shoot now I see the picture option….

I have photos & documentation of the worst pizza I have ever tasted & received from Papa John’s franchisee! It was a pick up order of Shaq a Roni special pizza deal which was a total rip off and will never order anything from this location again! I complained to corporate office without any response so this is my reply!

One of the worst experience I had here at the store. I ordered for 5 toppings large pizza. Chicken, green peppers, olives, mushrooms and onions. When I checked the pizza at store, i found only 2 pieces of green peppers, 3 pieces of onions and no mushrooms at all. It had olives and chicken. When I asked the guy (just one was there) he showed me that small piece of onion, and rudely said they will put what ever is in the order. Since I had already paid for the pizza before checking it, I took it home. I thought there will be some buried pieces of missing vegetables, but me and my wife could not find one. Very horrible experience. I would not recommend this place.

The food was delivered on time and hot. It was good, except they don’t give enough dipping sauce: 1 ounce for the Chicken Poppers ($9.99) and est. 1.5 ounces of marinara the Cheesesticks (8.99). There should be an option to add more sauces or charge more. Nobody likes eating dry food. My total order was $27.70, with tips and fees.

I ordered from Papa John’s Pizza recently using the buy-one-get-one-free deal on Uber Eats, and honestly, it was a pretty solid experience. The delivery was smooth, and the pizza arrived warm and fresh — definitely appreciated that.
The pizza itself was tasty, with a good balance of cheese, sauce, and toppings. What really stood out to me, though, were the little extras. It came with their signature garlic dipping sauce, which added a great buttery kick to the crust, and a pepperoncini pepper on the side — a small touch, but a nice one that gave it a bit of extra flavor and personality.
All in all, Papa John’s delivered on quality and value. I’d say this place is part of what makes Monterey run when it comes to late-night or comfort food cravings. Just missing that last little something to hit a perfect 5 stars, but I’d definitely order again.

Garlic Knots were a ball of bread like a donut hole with oil and parmesan poured on top. No ingredients in the middle. Very disappointed. Then the guy charged me $1 for a tiny sauce the size of a half of a shot glass. My first time here, won’t be back.

When I asked why they won’t promoting the same as all the commercials he just laughed at me. Drove 4 miles for poor customer service won’t recommend going here. Shame on u

I have ordered 3 16$ pizza which comes with two topping each and I request them to put four topping in one pizza and one topping in two pizza.. he refused and charge extra for toppings, I wish it can be managed easily, how do you expect customers to visit again if the service didn’t meet what customer expected.thanks
