Updating my review because I had a very unpleasant interaction with a delivery driver over the weekend. My family wanted to continue ordering from this Papa Johns for family nights because it is our favorite pizza in Peoria.
I called the store the night of 1/26 and spoke to a manager named Daniel. He was very kind and polite while reassuring me they handled the situation with employee that made the uncomfortable encounter and explained that building and maintaining customer relations is the very important to him, he even offered us a free pizza for the next time we order as an apology which we declined as we are very happy to pay for our food. We really appreciate the effort he put in to keep us as long term customers!
The managers and staff in store are always so friendly and quick to take care of us, something must have changed in the last year because it keeps getting better and better! They also have an older lady working there every time we pick up and she is just so hilarious and such a hard worker! I hope she also receives the recognition she deserves for always making our day. I suggest everybody that has had issues in the past try and contact a manager at the store and see what they can do to improve your past experiences like I did, it seems to really matter to the team working there now!
My children and husband are so happy that we don’t need to find a new favorite pizza place!
Oh, and the new toasted subs are TO DIE FOR!!
I will update my rating to a 5 star review if our next experience with Papa Johns is as awesome as we expect it to be! (Sorry for the previous 1 star, we had been put into a strange situation and it led to disappointment we hadn’t expected)

My visit was on 1/23/26 around 3:30pm. I ordered food for myself and kids to eat before my daughter’s flag football game. We were in a rush and needing to eat in the car. I was helped by Dan. He was very kind and welcoming. I asked for paper plates which he gladly provided along with napkins, cheese and peppers. I have visited the store many times and have always had great service but Dan went above and beyond with how helpful and kind he was. Thank you!

This is how my pizza just showed up. Not even sure what is going on here. Half the cheese is missing on a CHEESE pizza and it’s cut all kind of ways. This location sucks and we will not order from them ever again. Not sure how they are still in business. This is not the first time we have gotten a screwed up order but this is definitely the worst one. Let’s not get started on the breadsticks

Outstanding Experience at Papa John’s tonight!
I’ve been a pretty consistent customer of my local Papa John’s for many years, and I must say, my recent visit was exceptional! I can’t think of a time where everything was made to perfect, except for tonight! Caleb and Toni created a delicious meal for us tonight!
The Burger Pizza with pickles and mushrooms was made to perfection. Whatever sauce you used on it was absolutely delicious—what is it? I need to know!
The Meatball Papadia and the Philly Steak and Cheese Papadia were also outstanding. The hot wings was very tasty! Everything was prepared perfectly and tasted amazing.
A big shout-out to Caleb and Toni for doing an outstanding job preparing my order. You both really made my day with your excellent service and attention to detail.
Thank you for providing such a high-quality food and service tonight. Keep up the fantastic work!

I ordered the Papa John’s New York style pizza for $10.99. I went in and ordered, and picked it up. The box had a message stating that delivery fees were not tips for your driver. The message went on to exclaim “please tip your driver generously for excellent service”. The pizza WAS NOT New York style. The crust was twice as thick as a NY STYLE PIZZA and the pizza lacked flavor. Little sauce, little cheese. In conclusion, anyone who had an NYT style slice will be disappointed. Hey Papa, do it right or don’t do it all.

The regular crust pizza was awful, thick dough, no sauce, wierd cheese, can barely understand the call center rep in India, cant talk to anyone local. The only thing awesome was the delivery driver. Tipped him $15 because he went beyond. Never ordering again. $37 for 2 tiny “large” pizzas- 1 pepperoniand one cheese.

I will never order from them again. They always screw up orders, the management is horrible. We ordered a delivery tonight and never got a notification of where it was or when it would be delivered. After an hour I checked the site to track it and it said my pizza was delivered 15 minutes ago, I went out front and the delivery guy just left is out front, didn’t knock on the door, didn’t let us know he left it out front. I called the store and the manager said well I don’t know what to tell you, and then said you can call DoorDash and complain to them.

Ordered 2 pizzas for delivery. Uber Eats driver arrived and they couldn’t find my order. They had to remake it. Finally showed up 1 hour and 40 minutes later. And it was completely wrong. They gave me a refund. But wasn’t able to eat the food. Every time I order from this location something is wrong. This will be the last time. Will never order from Papa Johns again. Honestly it needs to be shut down so a real pizza place can come in.
