I called just to make sure our order was received and the ETA. I was greeted by a friendly (but busy sounding) person and was informed our pizza was out for delivery already. Our order was received and delivered promptly piping hot & fresh.
Whether or not the other reviews were accurate, it seems adjustments have been made to correct some concerns. Well done.
Proper handwashing is essential to prevent cross-contamination and to ensure the health and safety of customers. I find this practice unacceptable and concerning.
I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed promptly to prevent similar situations in the future. I would appreciate knowing what steps will be taken to ensure food safety protocols are properly followed.
And this is where the fairy tale ends.
I decided the next week to swing by the location nearest my house and pick some up. I walked in and was immediately confused that there was no signage at all. There was a huge horizontal panel front-center where the pizza menu/signs obviously used to be, but they were gone. I looked around, puzzled.
Finally I asked the employees standing there how I can know what pizzas are available, what types, how much, etc? In short, where are the signs or menu? They seemed confused by the question, but finally asked, “Ummm…what are you looking for?”
“I don’t know, what do you have? What do most people buy here?”
Long pause. “Ummmm…it depends. What toppings do you want?”
“You guys really need a sign or something. I’d love to see what pizzas you have and the prices.”
“Oh I can tell you that.” This is when the employee launched into the slowest and most convoluted explanation of pizza pricing I have ever heard. Their family size was a ridiculous price like $30 or something. Their smallest was around $15.
So I’m thinking…no $7 pizza?
Then an employee asked, “How many are you trying to feed?”
Sigh…after more confusing back-and forth they finally told me I had to go back outside in the cold and scan a QR code that was taped to the outside wall.
I guess having a copy of the QR code right there in the warm store was too much to ask. So I went back outside into the cold and scanned the QR code. It took me to the worst, most confusing menu/ordering system I have ever seen. I spent 5 minutes trying to figure it out, started to freeze, then went back into the store.
But FINALLY there it was: 50% off any pizza. That must be how I get the $7 pizza. But no such luck. It listed the “code” for 50% off but kept rejecting the code that was posted right there in the app. It kept saying the code was invalid. What a scam. Such poor service and terrible app.
This location should be studied by business schools as a case study in how not to run a business. Poor management, untrained employees, no signs or menu. I’ll never return.
