At 5:30p on 4/18/25, I called my local Papa John’s Pizza place because my delivery was missing a 2-liter Pepsi. After the manager refused to fulfill my complete order, he hung up the phone on me. This is the Papa John’s located at 11601 US Highway 290, UNIT B 100, Austin, TX 78737.
The conversation went as follows, verbatim:
Me: “Hi. I just received my order by delivery and it’s missing the 2-liter Pepsi.
Manager: “What’s your name”
Me: [Name]
Manager: (waits 15 seconds) Would you like a refund?
Me: I’d actually like the Pepsi delivered
Manager: I can’t just deliver a Pepsi.
Me: This is the third time my order has arrived without the drink. Can you help me out?
Manager: Well, just don’t order from here anymore.
Me: What? Can I speak to the manager?
Manager: I am the Manager.
Me: Really? The manager is telling me not to order from this loca-“ and then he abruptly hangs up.
I was astonished. Papa John’s is the only pizza chain that delivers to our neighborhood. I have spent so much money at Papa John’s over the years, for birthday parties, events, etc. Never again.

Order was delivered missing a 2 liter Pepsi, and when I called to let them know, I was told it was my fault that the DoorDash driver took it, before he hung up on me. The driver claimed he was only handed a pizza when he arrived here. Papa John’s said they gave him both items and that he stole it and it wasn’t his problem. All I wanted was a refund for the drink and the manager was a rude jerk. Not surprised to see so many others here with the same experience as me.

Please read the comments below me to confirm what I’m saying. On January 10th, the”blah blah manager told me to “get out of his store “, because i had purchased a pizza two hours prior and my pizza still wasn’t ready..I sent my son to pick it up and when he got there he called to tell me that the manager was being abusive to the customers and when he asked the manager about the pizza showing his order # and the manager laughed in his face claiming that he is wrong, yet I have 2 emails with that#. I went in and waited my turn for well over 30 min. And yet I’m still standing there never being helped. I step barely behind the counter to get the managers attention SINCE IT’S BEEN TWO HOURS and he’s on a broken record as he repeats over and over DON’T STEP BEHIND THE COUNTER. I told him that i was the ONLY ONE HE HADNT HELPED. He told me that my pizza wasn’t ready without attempting to ask my name. I asked him how he knew that. I told him to give me a refund and he called me a Karen because I wanted my pizza that I had ordered two hours prior? NEVER going back. I’ll be sure and contact papa jobs corporate to see what authority this manager has to kick out their clients.

Once again the drinks were missing from my order. I’ve tried multiple times to order from here due to Papa John’s is the only pizza delivery for my neighborhood, but I will start driving to Dominos. I’ve also tried to call several times to get a refund, but no one will answer the phone.
Looking at the other one Star reviews, I assume writing this review is a waste of time but want to save others the frustration of ordering from them.

Usually I don’t have issues with this papa John’s but today (12/6/24) the workers were extremely rude, unprofessional and did not do the bare minimum of their jobs. I first ordered delivery and the door dash guy said it was delivered but was not. I called the store and the manager was so rude and hung up on me. I still wanted my lunch so I ordered another time via curbside. I pulled up to the only open spot and followed directions to get it. The woman glared at me and dropped it off without a word. I opened the box and my dipping sauce was not included. I called the number again and she was annoyed, rude then hung up. This is completely unacceptable. I’ve been going to this store for months and never have an issue. Whoever this new worker is, should be fired.

Cancelled my ordered after 1.5 delivery delay! Said they were shutting the store down as they don’t have enough supplies. Did you not anticipate this would be your busiest night! If you are the owner of this franchise you need to get it together. Pretty pitiful.

My husband has always been a fan of Papa John’s and their delicious pizza. However, I’ve had to deduct one star because of recent issues with their delivery service. Since they started using DoorDash for deliveries, we’ve experienced several problems with getting our pizzas on time. Unfortunately, on a few occasions, our pizzas have arrived cold. Additionally, one time the driver left the pizza on the porch without ringing the bell, so who knows how long it had been sitting there before we noticed it. Despite these delivery issues we will continue to order pizza from this location. I hope Papa John’s can resolve these problems soon.
