I am writing to provide feedback regarding a very disappointing experience I had today at one of your Papa John’s locations.
I have been ordering from this store for years and have never had a single issue, which is why I’ve remained a loyal customer. Today, however, that changed.
I placed an order by phone around 11:00 AM for four pizzas, specifically scheduling the pickup for 11:50 AM so they would be fresh. I arrived at the store at approximately 11:44 AM. From the very beginning, the employee who assisted me—who claimed to be the manager—was extremely rude and unprofessional.
When I asked about my order, she pointed at the pizzas without explanation. I asked how long they had been ready, and she told me they were completed at 11:25 AM. I questioned why they were ready so early when the pickup time was scheduled for 11:50 AM. She responded by saying that she “always has an issue with me,” which is completely untrue. I calmly explained that I have never had issues with Papa John’s and that this is exactly why I continue to order from your company.
Her attitude became more aggressive and disrespectful. I asked to speak with the manager, and she stated that she was the manager. She then rudely asked if I wanted the pizzas or not. Due to her behavior and unprofessional attitude, I chose not to accept the order and left the store.
After leaving, I called Papa John’s customer service and was unfortunately transferred directly back to the same individual. She answered the phone yelling, asking “What do you want?” and continued acting as though she owned the store. At that point, I felt completely disrespected as a customer.
I clearly do not deserve this type of treatment—especially as a frequent customer who orders regularly for my company. Because of this incident, I lost valuable time and had to place a last-minute order with Pizza Hut instead.
What concerns me the most is that the employee stated she recognized my name from my uniform name tag. This made me uncomfortable and, honestly, concerned about food safety. I no longer feel safe ordering from this location. I asked her for her name, and she refused to provide it, only repeating that she was the manager.
I genuinely love Papa John’s pizza, but I will not return to this store under these circumstances. You have now lost a frequent customer due to this incident.
Please let me know if this situation will be addressed and whether this individual will remain at this location. I would like to continue ordering from Papa John’s, but only if I can trust that I will be treated respectfully and professionally.
