I ordered pizza yesterday. I decided to go a different route than beggars in blue island i usually go to. Something difff than whats around here and my kids never had it. When i first opened it up, the sausage looked dried out. I took one bite I just couldn’t do it. Super dry pizza. I picked all the sausage off. Should have just ordered cheese, would have tasted better. For most 70 dollars I could have just ordered beggars or barraccos for same price and would have been def a hit at my home. I hope if I ever decide to go there again, its better. My kids seen the commercial and wanted it. So we went.

What we ordered:
1 large stuffed crust pizza meat lovers- extra pepperoni instead of Canadian bacon.
1 large stuffed mushroom, pineapple, jalapenos
What we got: 1 large stuffed pepperoni, sausage, beef (missing extra pepperoni and bacon)
1 large stuffed tons of jalapeño with some pineapple, missing mushroom (update below)
Typically I’m cool, calm and collected. Tonight, less. I’m hungry, this pizza said it was ready via the app and wasn’t ready until 40 minutes later. My husband comes home with the pizza, the order is entirely wrong. Dude, we pay extra to have extras and as a family on a budget, this is just disappointing. Half the sauce isn’t really on the pizza. Half the ingredients we paid for are missing. 8 people were standing in the restaurant waiting with my husband. This was a huge waste of time and only one kid in our family of five is eating. I understand a rush but cmon. And to top it off, when i called to see if they could remake it, the phone just kept getting placed on hold. They’d pick up, press hold. My husband said when he was there, there wasn’t anybody answering the phones. I was so excited to have Papa John’s, this location was great last time and we rarely go here because it’s pretty out of the way for us but it was good a couple months ago. Tonight, what a bust.They probably need more staff. They might need help with scheduling to make sure they have product. I feel bad for even mentioning it but this absolutely affected our evening and experience and I’d be so much more upset if this was for a party.
Update: I did end up eating 1 slice. I did find mushrooms, they were hidden under extra cheese which we appreciated but still the ratios were off. There was also sauce but it was weird amounts of ingredients, sauce and cheese.
I asked my husband about the environment, he said they were under staffed for sure. He said someone mentioned that it would be another 10 minutes when he arrived but it was over 30 minutes wait. He mentioned that was said to everyone. He said it was clean but especially busy. I asked him for the star rating and he did say it was only 3 stars based on the lack of communication and the way the pizza turned out.

If that ain’t the worst Pizza I ever had I just bought three pizzas and a 10-in jalapeno cheese bread the stuffed crust pizza was okay the sausage pizza and the cheese pizza was all dried out. couldn’t taste no sauce no cheese,crust burnt pizzas cooked too dark you might as well have just been eating crackers. the jalapeno cheese bread crust was burnt the peppers was just laying on top instead of melted into the cheese.all the peppers just fell right off. These restaurants think that when you order online they can just fix your food any kind of way. I spent almost 70 dollars and door dash had the nerve to give me back 11 dollars.Never again will I order that pizza I’m going to stick with beggars the next time I’ll go pick my stuff up and check it before I leave.This is what my daughter decided to get.I never like ordering online anyway. As long as they make a buck they don’t care what your food look like. They know you can’t bring or send it back.

Always reliable! My local store has always had my order ready on time, accurately! Fresh and hot from the oven, no skimping on toppings. Is it the best pizza on the planet? No, but it is my fave budget chain with that stuffed crust and garlic butter dip! True deep dish chains like Lou Malnati’s are in a separate category, you can’t compare apples to oranges.

Had little expectation it being Papa John’s. But to my surprise they made the best Papa John’s pizza I ever had. It was actually really good, even my gf who normally isn’t into pizza liked it a lot. So this is my go to Papa John’s location from here on out. Not only was the pizza well made from this location, the delivery driver Juan was awesome. He hand delivered the pizza and it was still hot!!! He’s the best!

If I could rate it no stars I definitely would!!! Worst papa johns I’ve ever been to!!!! Made my stomach turn so much I will never eat from another one ever again!!!!!! I walk in and attempt to pick up food without a mask. I’ve seen the employee in the back with her mask off so I was a bit upset when I was told to put a mask on when I was there a total of 4 to 5 minutes when the unmasked employee was making the food. If we are going to make these rules then make sure your staff is following the rules first. For the guy to pretty much hold my food hostage until I put a mask on was ridiculous when I just had to pay and leave. He wasn’t rude about it but it still had me wanting to say forget it. Lastly, they may need to restock some items. Blue cheese is something I know well. The packets they gave me expired in 2 days I know its still legal but these packets are normally showing a year or two before they expire. I opened it and it was not looking ok. It looked as if it wasn’t refrigerated.

Update: July 7th 2021. No matter what fake good reviews you see this place is a hit or miss. TRUST ME. 6 mths later and NOTHING has changed. 100% regret I paid my money to order. Hopefully, my pizza gets here tonight and not tampered with. Lady who delivered was sweet. Pizza good but delivery not in order.
After, tonight im done. Been ordering from them every since the Oak Lawn closed, due to mismanagement and poor order filling. I thought after talking to the owners wife, my first delivery was resolved. But, i should have known. Some people keep telling me to leave Papa Johns alone and go back to Pizza Hut or Domino’s. I’ll find another place. I was suppose to hand him the previous pizza for the new one. He dropped it off before i even came to the door and drove off. If I could get my money back I would. Ill drive into the city first… SMH. Go to another pizza place DO NOT waste your time. I feel safer eating the first wrong made pizza at this point.
