We haven’t had Papa John’s in many, many years…holy shiz. What happened?!? Looking at the other photos people posted THAT is what I remember. This was what I got….thin, flavorless & almost burnt bread sticks….so disappointing to have wasted money that’s already tight on this. I would even feel bad giving it to someone that’s hungry on the streets. This is embarrassing.

Forgot adding my stuff crust. No wonder they were in a hurry to close up. All good though I’m use to getting orders screwed up from everywhere. I was more concerned with getting my 2nd pizza to some homeless. Be greatful for the small things. Pizza tasted great!

Good food, just beware that if you order pickup from here that you get there asap because they do not keep your food warm in a bag or warm oven like godfathers or pizza hut, they just leave it on an open rack.
They also have me some shriveled up peppers. Would have been better off with none.

You know I hate to give a one-star review, as many of you that follow me know I am now over 5 million views and I hate to complain but this is a complaint.
Papa John’s in Council Bluffs has really gone downhill.
My wife placed the same order she does almost every time and I go to pick it up. I’m greeted to people making pizza cussing along with their favorite rap song, it would be nice if people with facial hair hovering over the pizza would wear some type of a face net but that isn’t really what got me upset tonight.
The chicken bacon ranch has no Ranch. This is an order that my wife has made dozens of times over the last few years. Probably twice a month we get pizza there. And the guy on the phone was nice enough as he told me if I want a chicken bacon ranch I have to buy a chicken bacon ranch and that they will not remake it.
And this really is my fault because we were going to get pizza from either Bertha’s or Pizza King but I figured it would be faster just to pick it up from Papa John’s.
I guess I have learned my lesson. And even though I’m sure they’re not going to miss my business, unfortunately many thousand people in Council Bluffs and tens of thousands of people in Omaha actually read my reviews.
So as a person that has done these types of reviews going on 6 years now, might I recommend for those in Council Bluffs seeking a good quality pizza because let’s be honest Papa John’s has decreased in quality, might I recommend that you try berthas off of 16th Street or Pizza King or Pizza Counter. Anytime I have ever had an issue with any of those establishments, the situation was immediately remedied..

Papa johns pizza is delicious. We had an order for 12 pizzas. We calked it in ahead of time. And they were ready when we got there! Cashier was very nice.

We order from here periodically, our kids enjoyed it and the quality of the pizza isn’t bad. Not great, but sometimes it’s a nice change from the other local offerings.
Why not a higher score? Because the prices here are quite high. Despite their discounts, coupons, and offerings, by the time we order two pizzas, throw in a cookie, with taxes and an expected tip on top of the charges (which is bizarre given that we pick up our order), it usually runs us north of $50.
We just get nickel-and-dimed to death every time we order. I just don’t think Papa John’s is keeping pace with other offerings in the area.

Usually pretty happy with Papa John’s, but not tonight. Crust on my taco pizza was burned, lettuce looked like it went through the oven, Doritos were un crushed. Looked like someone didn’t pick up their pizza so they ran it through again to warm it back up.
