I am a student at the University of Kentucky, and this Papa John’s is the best pizza that I have had in a long time. Their pepperoni pizza is my favorite, and whenever I order on the app, there is ALWAYS a deal on it. I have gone to this location over 10 times. The pizza is always hot and ready whenever I walk into the store to get it, and the workers are always very nice to me. My favorite thing about this Papa John’s is that they take flex dollars that students get from being a student at the University of Kentucky. I lived in Holmes Hall my freshman year, and it was very helpful because I was always able to just walk down the street to eat at Papa John’s. My last tip for how good this Papa John’s is that buying liters of drinks is a lot cheaper at this location than it is at The Wildcat Pantry.

My boyfriend ordered a pizza from here & we found a roach baked right into it!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! He went back to get a refund & they wanted us to request it through door dash even though we called the store to order and payed the delivery man in cash. After 45 mins of discussing they finally gave us a refund after acting like it wasn’t their problem. They also weren’t wearing gloves, dealing with trash and returning to make pizzas without washing their hands. The man he was talking to also had the smell of alcohol on his breath.

Regular price is $29. For a medium 2 topping and cheese bread which is wild. I had a free cheese bread and $4 off so I got it all for $4.23. Heart shaped pizza for Mother’s Day, very good lunch!

They seemed to have been super busy so they hadn’t had time to do much cleaning. The parking lot was a little rough. The entrance to the parking lot was going up a pretty slanted slope. It hadn’t been cleared much of the snow and ice and the snow that had been shoveled was shoveled in the parking spaces. The food was still awesome and the workers came off as friendly even though they looked stressed out and tired. With the amount of customers/ door dashers that was in the lobby waiting for their pickups and order placing, these workers need a raise.

seats were put up way before closing. not a single worker wore gloves while making the dough and while putting toppings on pizza. if somebody was allergic to a specific food and the workers didn’t wash their hands… it would be bad.

My husband called, and spoke to a manager. Dude was like, “I don’t say anything wrong with the food.” Really? You guys ruin our food every week lol, including burning the spinach. My brother is the manager at another store, and has been working there for 20 years. He makes sure that his food comes out well. We never get burnt food from his store, and when something isn’t made correctly, he replaces it. My papadia was on the left, and it was undercooked. You can tell, by its color. Husbands was on the right, and it looks really sloppy. Two of them were also in the wrong box, and the lady my husband initially spoke to said, “I don’t think they’re in the wrong boxes.” Lol My mother had some of his sauce, because of this and she can’t have spicy food. Now, she is not doing well. You can do better.

I just wanted to thank the Papa John’s pizza on Avenue of Champions in Lexington Kentucky for the free personal pizza. I was in town for a UK rifle match and was wondering where to eat lunch when one of your employees giving away free pizzas to UK football fans approached my truck ans I sat in traffic and offered me a pizza.
Because of your generosity, PJ is on my permanent list of go to pizza places now.

I know its not the company, we eat it all the time. This location is the problem. The cheese sticks, not bad. (considering it came with extra cheese and pineapple which I didn’t actually order)
Pizza was just crust and meat, pretty much no cheese, pretty much no sauce. Just awful all around.
I’m not saying don’t get Papa Johns! They’re Great! Just shut this place down because it makes you guys look bad!

This place used to be my go to spot for Papa’s pizza. As of recent the quality has gone downhill to the extent of me simply leaving my order in discontent. The team there makes the experience ultra enjoyable, even after the instance of touching my food barehanded with a bandaid on. Still gave my folks another shot after the frustration…
However to no avail. They are simply not as invested into quality anymore. Hit or miss every time now. (30% hit, 70-75% huge miss).
Almost sad at the way these restaurants are changing.
