Long hair in pizza. Had the pizza delivered. Called and requested a driver come pick it back up, management said they do not have drivers they use door dash. So i drove back to bring the pizza. I Didn’t even get an apology for the unsanitary food or inconvenience to drive there. Do not recommend.

The other day my fiancé and I had an amazing experience at this Papa John’s. It appeared that there were only two employees working—Kenzie and Allison—and if they were understaffed, you would never know it from the service we received. They were working incredibly hard, stayed upbeat the entire time, and had such a genuinely positive attitude that never felt forced or fake.
Despite being busy, they were efficient, friendly, and truly made us feel welcomed. Their teamwork and dedication did not go unnoticed, and they completely turned a simple pizza run into a great experience. Huge shoutout to Kenzie and Allison for going above and beyond—management should be very proud to have them!

We usually buy pizza on the weekends but we went from loving papa John’s to completely dislike the pizzas specially at this location( quality of meat is not the same, pizza dough paper thin but they are getting more and more expensive.) I understand prices going up if you keep the quality of the product but not like this. Deals have changed too, and now you can get your pizzas with fewer topings.

I haven’t had Papa Johns in forever. It was late. Not much was open. I was excited. After my experience tonight I don’t think I’ll ever want it again. It was a terrible experience from the start. Demanded to know why we didn’t have a DoorDash bag when it wasn’t even a DoorDash order…. There was barely any cheese on my “6 CHEESE” cheese sticks. Pizza was overcooked and the toppings probably could have been applied better if made by a 6 year old than whoever made it tonight Next time Papa John’s is my only option I will go without. I’m embarrassed to have even suggested eating here.

I walked into the Papa John’s on Hardem Blvd in Lakeland and was greeted right away by Kenzie with a smile and very helpful attitude. I was having trouble using the app to order the special I wanted. She helped me right away and with such a cheerful attitude. Love her energy!! Awesome employee!

Not sure if the owner of this franchise is in business to fail but I was definitely sad when I saw the poor quality of lack of care of my pie.
They must definitely replace who ever is making this pies because they are making the owner look bad and not to mention the Papa John’s brands.
I ate 3 slices and disposed the rest in the trash and now I have the Hershey Squirts.
I sincerely regret coming to this location.

Food is always fresh and tasty. If they do mess up on your order they make it right and replace it. I love this papa johns location.

I had initially left a 1-star review due to a Shaqaroni pizza not being warm when I picked it up. The manager invited me to re-order another pizza at no charge. A few weeks later I went inside this time to order, so I would be there when it was ready.
They didn’t have the same promotion, so I ordered a thin crust with lots of pepperoni. Thin sure means thin, but that’s what I ordered. It was hotter than the first one, but I’ve concluded that even if you pick up right out of the oven, pizzas just don’t travel well. Since they don’t have a dining room, I’m thinking fresh, hot pizza can only be found in a dine-in restaurant, unless I were closer.
I’m thinking the first pizza I ordered may have sat for a few minutes, rather than longer which I had initially thought. Having ordered in person there and driving the pizza 7 miles and 12 minutes, it’s just not possible for a pizza to stay warm that long. If you don’t mind pizza that can’t be served fresh, or if you are closer than me, then this location might be for you.
Obviously, the manager is concerned about her customers and was very pleasant to me, so my customer service experience wasn’t an issue here. I will say, if you’re going to tip in the store like I did (and you should), do it when you order, because after you do, they will immediately be a bit more personable to you. I tipped $3 mid-way and the personality change it made was remarkable. I used to be a server, so I totally get that. A few dollars means more to them (on a per person basis) than it does to me or you, so give an extra dollar.
I think they do their best here, given what they do, and whether an employee is jovial and smiling or not is irrelevant to your pizza. This is not a full-service restaurant and should not be compared to one. How fresh and hot your pizza is will be determined by how far it has to travel and how long that takes.
For those that mention the delivery car sitting out front in the fire lane, that much is true. But if it were my pizza they were delivering, I wouldn’t be complaining about it. I found not walking into it worked pretty well, so try that and see how it works out.

When you walk in you are immediately greeted with kindness and a smile. The pizza I got here was not only great in appearance but very flavorful. I have had pizza from this location on many occasions. I have done both carry out and deliveries. Out of all said occasions I have only had an issue one time, which all places have them, and all it took was a phone call and explaination on my issue. They instantly understood and gladly set things right. Thank you for the positivity and great service!!!
