I am beyond disgusted with my experience at Papa Johns. I placed my order online and showed up exactly at the pickup time listed in my confirmation email — and still had to wait over 30 extra minutes.
When I walked in, there were more than 10 employees behind the counter, yet somehow nothing was organized or moving efficiently. Instead of professionalism, I saw employees standing around, eating at the same tables where food was being prepared, and not wearing gloves while handling food. That is absolutely unacceptable and completely unsanitary.
This level of carelessness is exactly why the location sits at a 3.5-star rating — and honestly, that feels generous. Customers expect basic hygiene, organization, and respect for their time. Waiting over half an hour past the promised pickup time while watching chaotic and unprofessional behavior is beyond frustrating.
This experience was documented and will be reported to the appropriate health and safety authorities. Customers deserve clean food, trained staff, and management that actually manages.

When I’m doing a doordash, I’ve waited over 20 minutes for my food to be ready to deliver on more than one occasion. I’ve gotten two violations on my doordash account and both of them was because of them not even starting my food until 20 minutes after I walked through the door. Everyone else has my order ready before I even get there. Also, the staff needs to be more courteous and professional. Every store I’ve been to, no one in the store acts like I’m there a lot of the time.

Think again before you pay for pizza and delivery from this Papa John’s on Avalon Park Blvd. As you can see, we had a pizza delivered that was not even cut into slices. The most simple of things they can’t do right… Maybe this location is employing children and they’re not old enough to use pizza cutters yet?? Or maybe Stevie Wonder was in charge of cutting the pizzas tonight? Not sure. But wow….

Will not order from here again! We placed an order 3 hours in advance, and when I showed up ( initially I was 15 minutes early so I expected a small wait ) I was told it hadn’t been started and it would be another 45 minutes still. When I asked why since our order had been placed 3 hours in advance, I was told, ” we got a lot of orders that keep coming in.”
These other orders were door dash, Uber eats, type orders… They were being pumped out like a assembly line. I watched as more and more people showed up for their orders and were told they hadn’t been started yet and it would be another 45 minutes.
My wife decided to check what door dash promised for delivery time…20 minutes…
45 minutes later… I ask how much longer it will be…”We haven’t started it yet. We just have so many orders to do”
When I mentioned that it was odd that all is local residents that places our orders directly were not getting any food provided and they only seemed to be prioritizing delivery orders through services, the manager who was on the phone looked up and tried to shush me…
Do not order from this store, do not support a business that doesn’t value it local neighborhood customers. They literally pushed us to the side to cater to the app services.

Alfredo chicken pizza is supposed to be well done and square cut, which it is not. Actually, it’s less done than my BBQ chicken and bacon pizza. Both pizzas have hardly anything on them. Can’t even see any bacon on the BBQ chicken and bacon one. Tried a piece of chicken, and it was cold in the middle. Went in to get them fixed, and the employees acted stupid, while the girl had a really bad attitude. She got snippy and tried saying I didn’t pay for extra and the bacon is under the cheese. Clearly not wanting to remake the pizzas and says it’ll be 25 minutes for the remake which I’m the only one here the whole time and they Clearly don’t have any business today which I can see why. When I walked out to wait on my pizza remake the girl with a bad attitude walked out to get a smoke break. When I got my remakes, the BBQ bacon and chicken pizza, I guess they wanted to be smart since it’s has all the Topping just piled in the middle of the pizza instead of spread out any. Don’t think I’ll be going to Papa John’s anymore. It’s getting pretty ridiculous trying to get simple orders made to order. Came to this location since they did well in the past, and the location down the street can’t ever get the order right either.

I don’t know why i keep giving Papa Johns any more chances to disappoint. By the time you pay tax additional fees & delivery you got a 25-30$ Pizza before tipping the driver. Only to get a pizza that they either skimped out on the toppings or give you a smallee pie than what it should be. Gaslighting on the shrinkflation.

I was a customer at this Papa John’s and witnessed a hostile interaction between the two employees in the photo and it was uncomfortable to observe. The employee in the black T-shirt with the afro hairstyle asked the employee wearing the Papa John’s hat if a DoorDash order was in the system. He was only asking to confirm this because a DoorDasher was waiting and the dasher had asked him to check, simply to make sure the order was at the correct location. He was not asking if the order was finished or pressuring anyone.
The employee wearing the hat responded in a sharp, harsh, and snappy manner, with clear attitude and hostility. He said something along the lines of, “The order is going to have to wait, I haven’t made it yet,” which did not answer the question being asked and escalated the interaction unnecessarily. The employee in the black T-shirt did not argue or respond. He walked away, but it was very clear from his facial expression that he was upset. The look he gave showed frustration and exhaustion, almost as if he was fed up with the work environment and felt trapped. The micro aggression might have been due to stress because there was about 8 DoorDashers with pizza bags in there waiting , or the micro aggression might have possibly been from other distasteful reasons . . I’d like for HR to check in with the man in the black shirt that had the Afro hair , he was giving good service in such a stressful situation and kept his composure despite the hostility . .

Tried the new Doritos Papadia but was disappointed. Not enough Doritos flavor but had plenty of chicken. My order came after a huge order but the manager was kind enough to squeeze my order. The cheese pizza was ok.

The new papa bowls taste fine but the serving size is ridiculous small. Ordered two different bowls, Garden vegetables and a Italian trio. Both of these servings in the photos are with nothing ate from them before the photos were taken, just moved the food to one side.

Every time we order from this location, we’ve had a problem. Not enough sauce, too much sauce, raw dough, and burnt wings with no sauce. After 4 or 5 visits, we gave them a chance but will go somewhere else from now on.
