On 12/30/25 around 9:01 PM, I had the worst experience I’ve ever had at this Papa John’s location.
I have been a loyal customer for over 8 years, ordering pizza at least once a week for my two boys. Most employees who have worked here longer than a year know me and refer to me as “Miss Jackson,” which made this situation even more upsetting.
I paid using my Bank of America debit card, and although the employee stated the payment did not go through on her end, my bank immediately showed the $21.18 charge as pending/processing. I calmly showed her my bank statement and asked if she wanted me to swipe again. She was dismissive and said it “didn’t matter.”
After waiting more than 20 minutes past the estimated completion time, I asked about my order. I was then told that if I did not swipe my card again, I would not receive my pizza and that she would call the police on me. I was shocked and embarrassed, especially since I had already shown proof of payment.
After leaving the store, I had to call Papa John’s customer service myself to have the payment reversed, even though the issue was not caused by me. Being threatened with police involvement over a payment processing issue—and then having to resolve it afterward—was humiliating and completely unacceptable. I post the picture showing that they had to refund me the money and I had to go to McDonald’s to order food instead.
I bought a pizza and requested “square cut”. When I got the pizza it was regular cut and I asked the manager (black girl with short Afro puff) if they could remake it because I had a boy with autism at home that would only eat square cut. She responded “no, we aren’t going to remake it” and proceeded to try to cut the triangle slices into squares which left me with very weird pieces of pizza. I requested again, due to my circumstances, if they could remake the pizza. She rolled her eyes and said she would give me a refund. I told her the name it was under and she told me it wasn’t in the computer. I showed her the name on the box which was the same name that I said and she miraculously found it in the system. I told her I paid with Apple Pay and she responded “yeh, I don’t care how u paid it will be back on your card in 3-5 business days” she them threw the receipt at me. This happened around 8 pm Jan 12th
3 pizzas and breadsticks. Because I have a diary allergy I can’t have cheese so I order mine without. I have to say the last 2x I’ve ordered, the quality has been top tier!
Being my pizza has no cheese, in the past it’s been made haphazard but I just accepted it for what it is. But now that I know mine can be made to seem like it’s just as good as one with meat and cheese I sincerely hope the workers at this moment stay put!
Even the regular pizzas are made so well!
I feel like there’s more care in the overall process anymore.
Really really good. We’ve been going this same Papa John’s for over 4 years and these last few months have been the best!
