This incident happened on Tuesday January 11, 2022 @1700h. This occurred at Store#1822. My wife (brand new customer to this location) had the rudest experience from this location today. They went up there to get some food. They made the pizza and skimped on the toppings. After she paid for the pizza she looked at it, and was disappointed with the quantity of bacon on the pizza. She asked to speak to the manager (The individual was Caucasian and did not want to disclose his name.) There were two managers present and neither one wanted to approach the counter. They were trying to tell the cashier to relay the message. Then my wife stated “No, I would like to speak to the manager.” The manager then came over to the counter and became belligerent, rude, and uncouth and spoke to my wife in a very foul tone. He raised his voice stating that there was enough bacon on the pizza and my wife said no it’s not and he repeatedly ordered the cashier to give her a refund. She had to request a refund receipt from the cashier because it was not voluntarily given. My wife asked to reorder and she was told NO by the manager as he continued to tell the cashier to give her a refund. I’m pleased to announce the Most uncouth business in South Carolina. Stay clear of this establishment. They’re definitely not getting any recommendations. I’M REPORTING THIS TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, AND THE CHANNEL 7 NEWS. THE WHOLE WORLD WILL KNOW ABOUT PAPA JOHN’S STORE #1822. I PROMISE YOU THAT!!

Ordered an extra large, garlic parmesan crust with Italian sausage (extra sausage), bacon, onion, and black olive. This is what I got. Called to complain, and was told this is what I ordered. The gentleman I talked to also said that by ordering the garlic parmesan crust, it automatically changed the pizza to a large, and that was the fault of the app, as if this knowledge was known amongst all it’s customers.
I then said I was going to post this online, and was told to remember to say that I didn’t know how to order a pizza.
Customer service is terrible. If you’re wanting to get a inexpensive easy meal, you’re better off ordering from somewhere else. Called the corporate number, and they listened to what I had to say, but basically brushed me off.

Ordered carryout 30 minutes before we got there. They had no sign on the door. Only drive through was open. Could not go inside to get my 6 year old’s pizza. 7 cars were lined up in the drive through. We sat there for 10 minutes and only 1 car had moved. Walked up to the window and the manager wasn’t only rude but he said he was low staffed and trying to get out of there. We were low on time and couldn’t wait 30 more minutes so we left and got domino’s. Better pizza better ingredients anyway.

They seem to dump the toppings in the center of the pizza instead of across the whole thing. Depending on the day the crust can be great or the rim of the crust is 2 inches wide and only half the slice has sauce and cheese. Inconsistent quality here

Placed an order for carryout. Took over thirty minutes to drive to the store to insure it would be done by the time I arrived. It’s the two most simple pizzas. Pepperoni and Cheese. The manager had the door locked when I tried to walk inside. There are three ladies just standing around contributing to nothing at the store. One lady is at the window on her Bluetooth and phone. One lady is just standing around doing absolutely nothing. The cashier is having to help the cooks and managers. The other two ladies aren’t doing anything at all(Bluetooth and another lady). The lady at the window(Bluetooth) is leaned over hanging out. After trying to go inside(door locked) it’s been almost 45 minutes now. She tells me to pull around to the front and she will bring my pizzas out. Can not understand how it takes almost an hour for two simple pizzas after my order stated it was ready for pickup after 30 minutes. Unacceptable behavior by the manager to lock the doors at 7:30pm. There was no communication nor effort to hustle to get the pizzas out to us. We have waited over 45 minutes after arriving at the store. It was an online order.

Placed an online order then went to pick it up at this very chaotic and loud store. Only a couple of the sauces we ordered were included and they did not issue a refund. To be one of the most expensive pizza chains you’d think there would be better communication and service.
