Tonight I ordered two pizzas and an order of bacon cheese sticks from the Morehead City location. When I received my order, the toppings on one of the pizzas had slid off half of the pizza. I immediately called the store and the lady I spoke with said that she would send another one out right away. For some reason I had not even checked the bread sticks. Just like the pizza, the toppings had slid off of half and it was cut like a pizza, in eight triangle pieces. I immediately called back, spoke to the same lady and she said that she was going to remake my Entire order and send it out right away. Approximately 15 minutes later, my order arrived and it was for one pizza. My husband questioned the driver and she called the store. She was told that the rest of the order was assigned to a different driver and would be here shortly. It has now been two hours and there is no sign of the remainder of my order. $50 for two pizzas and an order of bacon cheese sticks is insult enough but to not make good on your word to make it right, is more than I am willing to tolerate. This is not the first time that I’ve had issues with this location but it is definitely the last. Papa John’s has lost my business forever.

Ordered a specialty pizza and was delivered a cheaper alternative without being told. Instead of calling me for approval or asking what I wanted to do, they just sent the cheaper pizza. Called and spoke with Keith (claimed to be the manager and sounded completely incompetent) who said they don’t carry the ingredients for what I ordered, so they sent the cheaper alternative instead. Refused a refund unless I drove the incorrect pizza back. It’s unreasonable to expect me to spend my own time and money to correct their mistake. “Yeah, I don’t know what to tell you” is not the correct response, Keith. We won’t be ordering again.

Just AWFUL. Ordered a pie and cheese sticks yesterday. The toppings on the pie taste STALE. The veggies and even the meat tastes off. The cheese sticks were hand-tossed and not flat and thin as they are when I order at home. Even the parmesan cheese in the packets that they gave me was BROWN—like the color of brown sugar. YUCK. 3/4 of the pie and sticks are both sitting in my fridge as we speak. Tried a piece of each this a.m. just to see if it was the parm—nope. Still tasted stale. Contacted PJ’s through the app and left contact info. Will be asking for a full refund if they care to respond. At least I used $10 of Papa Cash on this order—if I don’t hear from PJ’s, they won’t be hearing from me when I return home.

Papa Johns saves the day when we lost track of time while on vacation. They were able to deliver and the food was the best “fast food,” pizza I had in years!
We tried again, the last night of vacation and the food was much less amazing and we did not get our entire order. I would caution getting delivery for this reason. They use Door Dash for deliveries. So, when a bunch of food was missing, door dash said we had to contact Papa Johns. It was Friday night and they kept putting me on hold.
Ultimately, We just had to “eat” that we missed out on a bunch of food we paid for.
TLDR- random weeknight=AMAZING, Friday Night= caution and recommend Picking it up!!!

My husband and I order from here a lot. But it seems as if the quality has gone down a lot. I has to reheat my pizza when it was delivered. Do y’all not have a warmer? Does it just sit there on a counter waiting to be picked up by the door Dasher? The Dasher had a pizza “hot box” bag. I’ll just buy a frozen pizza from Harris Teeter next time.

Update 07/26/2025 ordered a large house pizza and i asked if they still have the BOGO free, i was told they both had to be one topping so i only ordered one and made it a extra large. . Then i just saw the commercial and i states that by one any large pizza get one large 1 item pizza free. So i guess i got taken. 12/15/2024 4:10 pm, I Ordered a extra large supreme pizza well done but not burnt. The pizza was nice size with plenty of toppings. I asked it to be well done because I do not like it when the center of the pizza is soggie. Well it was very soggie in the center. That happens when they put to much sauce and items in the middle of the pizza. The pizza was delivered on time and was nice and hot. The toppings tasted fresh. If the pizza wasn’t soggie I would of gave them five stars.

I haven’t had papa John’s in a while so I figured I’d give it a shot. I can’t believe I paid 4 dollars for such a sad amount of toppings. Lesson learned

Absolutely delicious! The toppings are superior to other places in the area. I appreciate the diced ham and the real mushrooms. I’m not a fan of the dried ones. The guys working were super nice and the service was fast, especially for how busy they were.
