They can’t deliver pizza, unless someone from DoorDash can deliver. Will have you thinking for almost 2 hours that your food will arrive, and then get a call about subbing out to DoorDash to cut costs. Cost cutting, is surely what just happened. So my families pizza, is sitting at the store without a delivery driver, because the company decided to give deliverers to DoorDash. Cool, I’ll stop sending any business your way. Just tried again with cold pizza being delivered. It’s not your delivery driver’s, it’s your customer service.

Order a pizza and it came with EXTRA AIR BUBBLES… I called and spoke with “A” manager that then he put “A”nother manager on the phone… I complained about the pizza not being to my satisfaction and between the “2 managers”. Both agreed to crediting my account for my order. I called today and the “manager” said it wasn’t a credit on my account. Some how he knew I spoke with him previously about the same incident… Papa Johns didn’t keep thier word. No apologies needed. LAST TIME EATING AT THE FRANCHISE PERIOD.

I placed a takeout order of 10 pizzas for my employees on a Saturday, the STORE MANAGER called me to tell me it was inconsiderate to order that many pizzas without planning ahead. We order pizza once a week for a team of 20 ish people. This store is no longer on our list

Horrible experience. They left a bandaid in my calzone bites! My son had just took a bite and I noticed it. I went back to the store and nobody was even apologetic. An employee even laughed a bit like that was funny. Thank god my young child didn’t choke on this nasty bandaid.

First time at papa John’s probably will be last. Pizza was good it just wasn’t as advertised. I ordered a shaq-a-roni which is supposed to have at least 60 pepperoni, this pizza was mostly chesse I bet there was only about 25. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Ordered pizza at 6:20, employee started for delivery it would be 15-20 minutes. After an hour, we called to check on the status and said it had just been picked up for delivery. 30 more minutes past and finally got a call from door dash driver who only spoke Spanish. They had gone to wrong house. Finally got the pizza at 8pm and it was COLD!! Called the store and they didn’t care one bit.

WTH is this? That’s pathetic. Don’t waste your money, not the first time I’ve received sub-par food from this location.
Update: the store manager reached out to me very shortly after posting my review and has remedied the situation. My review was a 1 star initially but since they addressed the issue I’ll give em 3 I guess

UPDATE: 1 year later we decided to give PapaJohns another shot. They seem to have changed management and staff and we haven’t had an issue. They have officially earned my business back

I have not had good service here since they moved from their downtown location. In fact the service has been downright horrible. Extremely long wait times and very rude staff.

On multiple occasions, I had arrived at the location 20-30 minutes after ordering, then had to wait an additional 20 minutes. I’m a patient person, but hadn’t had these problems at the old location on Vernon.

Once I arrived and did the usual song and dance of waiting 20+ minutes. I saw them place my pizza on the rack but there was no one to ring me up. I spent another 15 minutes waiting for someone to allow me to pay for the now cold pizza.

I have since taken my business elsewhere and suggested to all my friends/family to do the same.

Don’t these restaurants look at their reviews? Why have them if you’re not going to use them to improve your business? You can look at the dates on these reviews and immediately tell that service, quality and everything else went to hell when they moved from downtown to the Walmart area! Look and see what changed! Hint: It has got to be management and employees. I love Papa John’s pizza(I’m a WORKS lover), but I fear Kinston will lose them if things(MANAGEMENT)doesn’t change!! And it’s so simple to do!
