Usually my pizza is really good and I never have issues with my order or the manager. I dont know who made the boneless wings tonight but theres barely any sauce on them. They’re apparently working with DoorDash because they barely have any drivers. I also didn’t realize that they close at 10 on Thursdays but if they were in a hurry, I could of just ordered from somewhere else..

I had a really great experience at the Papa John’s on Old Forest Rd. thanks to Bailey and Mary. They showed excellent customer service and stayed professional even under a lot of pressure. While handling a steady flow of online and phone orders, they worked hard to complete every order with care and kept a positive attitude the whole time.
It’s clear that the team here is dedicated, but they deserve more support. On busy nights, it would make a big difference to have additional employees and stronger management presence to help handle the rush. Bailey and Mary went above and beyond, and I appreciate their effort — I just hope the company invests in giving them the resources they need to keep delivering such great service.

Pizza is a good food. Last night my parents ordered pizza it was Friday so typical. The cheese pizza was burnt and there was BARELY any sauce! It was basically burnt cheese and floppy bread! Don’t recommend this wasn’t the first time either this has happened

I drove to the store, ordered online on my phone and walked inside to ask that the toppings be ON TOP of the cheese. The employee who was likely going to be doing the work said “no problem, I can do that.” But immediately behind her a man, I presume the new store manager, said “No we can’t do that. We don’t do that. Papa Johns as a company never puts the toppings on top of the cheese.” I said “yes you do, plenty of stores in this city and across the US will put the toppings on top of the cheese when the customer asks; if you don’t, that’s on you. Please cancel my order.” The employee was happy to help and so nice! I would give the employee 5 stars by herself! The man was rude and proceeded to insist it IS company policy. I said if Papa Johns as a company didn’t want to put toppings on top of the cheese they should stop advertising it in their video and picture ads. The guy argued it is only the pepperoni that can go on top of the cheese. … lol …So I opened the store brochure and pointed to the examples of toppings shown on top of the cheese from their own in-store ad.
Bad business Papa-Johns. Since when is a paying customer not ALLOWED to have their toppings on top of the cheese?! I have been a customer since the 90s and this is the first time anyone has ever said I can’t. This may also be my last. I can’t approve of a company that would make such a short-sighted-profit-rule. (I know I am not the only customer since the 90s to notice the steady decrease in sauce amount and toppings over the years, and trying to hide it by forcing all your customers to put their toppings under the cheese is just sad.)

1 star bc the owner/manger here said that Papa John’s as a company won’t put the toppings on top of the cheese, only under. Nevermind their own advertisements show the toppings on top. My Twin canceled the order accordingly and we’re just not going to order from this store anymore.

I have never been a huge fan of Papa John’s for many reasons but decided to try it again recently and I don’t know if it was because I got the $9.99 deal that they skimped but this pizza was not good.:( I ordered extra cheese as one of my toppings and it had barely any and there was no flavor. Disappointing and won’t be trying any specialty pizzas for $17 after testing the waters.

Called Domino’s twice here in Lynchburg and the phone just rung. Only called Domino’s because it was super close to where I was at. Call Papa John’s and guy was super nice believe his name was Shane..He didn’t rush me and we started talking about when he was a trucker..Thanks again it’s always DELICIOUS…

Just finished up an order at this Papa Johns. Easy online checkout with Apple Pay came to the store to get it in a timely fashion. Staff greeted me quickly with a smile and handed me my pizza. Hopefully it will be good when I get it home to eat it but the experience was great today and just wanted to give these fellas kudos.

Never eat at the actual restaurant! But it’s the BEST take out pizza. Food is always delicious and fresh even after driving it home. Would go the extra drive just to get pizza from here instead of the local pizza places.
