The one thing this location has going for them is they are consistent. Consistently rude, slow, and the under cook the pizzas – even when you select well done in the app. Finally, when you arrive to pick up your pizza bring a bell – they absolutely ignore you standing at the counter.
Usually go to the Papa John’s in Powhatan, but I was forced to go to this one today and I regret it.
Today, like many times before, I stood there for 5 minutes while the workers did their best to not make eye contact. I could go on, but you get the picture. I’m going to eat my cold and under cooked pizza.

Papa johns…hmm…pizza has no flavor no matter how many toppings, its overpriced, overrated and is just some tasteless crap that the nfl and NBA endorses. Garbage…go to marcos if you want some flavor and proper distribution of toppings. Papa John’s and domino’s are the worst 2 places you could order a pizza from..id rather buy a red baron frozen pizza than pay for and eat this cardboard crap

I have worked in food service for ten years, so I don’t leave this review to be harsh, as I know how stressful the job can be. At the same time, I also know how valuable feedback is, which is why I’m sharing mine.
Tonight, I ordered online from this Papa John’s and requested toppings only on the left half of my pizza, leaving the right half plain cheese. When I picked it up, not only were there very few toppings, but they were scattered across both sides of the pizza, and the pizza hadn’t even been sliced.
When I entered the restaurant, I also noticed that the staff seemed extremely overworked and overwhelmed. Without anyone dedicated to the front, walk-in and carryout customers often go unacknowledged. There also doesn’t seem to be a streamlined system for pickup orders, leaving the kitchen staff in chaos trying to sort everything out. On top of that, there are no heat lamps for pickup orders, so if you arrive a little late, your pizza is cold.
The pizza itself was still delicious, but I do hope these issues can be improved for a smoother customer experience in the future.

One of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had & it was just an extra large plain cheese pizza with extra cheese… Over half had little sauce/cheese while other part had extra sauce/cheese… The only good thing was the driver was great & got it to me on time… I live in DC & I’m late with review cause I was/still watching brother’s house/dogs who live in Midlothian, VA while he/family ran in the Marine Corps Marathon in DC where I currently live… Also here to check on Mom who is residing at Lucy Corr under hospice care…

1/5/25 watched the person make my pizza by sticking her UNGLOVED hand in the toppings, not sure if that’s kosher these days. Terrible attitude.
Asked for parmesean crusted…gave me regular. Looks almost burnt. Will NOT be coming back here.

I ordered on the phone. Was quoted 20.49 as my price, and 25-30 minutes for delivery.
Instead – 1 hour and 40 minutes later, we received cold pizza. The ticket showed that it had been out for delivery for over an hour. And we were charged $29 not $20. We almost refused delivery, but our kids were starving and it was about 10 minutes past bedtime at this point.
Then – we open the box – and the pizza is smashed. Half the toppings stuck to the lid, some fell back on the pizza, but – gross!
Needless to say we will never order from here again.

Tried to call to give them a chance to hear me out first but… when I asked for a manager they put me on hold for 15 minutes+… eventually I just hung up.
1) I’m pregnant and the delivery driver banged on my door like he was the police. I was almost scared to go to the door.
2) he was very rude and aggressively told me to acknowledge that I’m not going to leave him a tip.. I don’t put tips on my card only give cash because of my banks dumb processing methods. But after his aggression I 100% didn’t want to give it to him but still did despite it…. I shouldn’t have
3) The bag that held my drink REAKS of cigarette smoke. Again I’m pregnant… I don’t want to smell smoke for the rest of the day. Won’t be ordering papa johns ever again.
4) and whoever cut this pizza is geometrically challenged

Ordered a simple stuff crust with pep, hard to mess up, well they did again for the third time, it will be the final time ordered from this papa johns. Came burnt, delivery driver was fantastic though! even called before he got to the door. Unfortunately the product was beyond sub par, but reading the other reviews shows the exact same issue hasn’t been resolved over the last 6 months.
