I hope my review helps your business. I wanted to share some honest feedback based on our experience ordering from your Urbana location several times.

We live in Urbana and have three kids who love pizza, so we often order Papa John’s. Unfortunately, we’ve noticed that the pizza from the Urbana location is not the same quality as other locations—especially compared to the Middlebrook location, which makes pizza much better in our experience.

Some specific issues we’ve noticed:
• The pizza tastes different and doesn’t have the same quality or flavor as Middlebrook.
• The garlic butter that comes with the breadsticks has barely any sauce—just one small spoonful in the entire box. It feels very cheap and disappointing.
Even the dough and overall flavor seem off compared to what we’re used to from other Papa John’s locations.
Because of this, we’ve stopped ordering from the Urbana store and now place our orders with Middlebrook, picking up the pizza on the way home from work.
I truly hope management reads this feedback. We live in a great neighborhood with lots of families and kids who love pizza, and we want to support our local location. Please consider reviewing the quality of ingredients, cooking methods, or even staffing to bring this location up to the same standard as others.

The accuracy of my orders has significantly plummeted over the past 14 months. I can only suppose the previous manager left or replaced.
This is the 5th time in a row that I have had an issue with this specific PJs. It is always the same excuse – new workers.
I feel like after many months it’s more about poor management and as the Manager himself said to me this week – Poor Management.
I think I will try another pizza delivery company or 2 before I trust Papa John’s again…

The pickup area was packed with unhappy customers and Door Dashers. People complaining they had been waiting over an hour and no managers were around to refund orders. The kitchen was a disaster. No one could take pizzas out of the oven because there were no boxes folded and pizza ended up over-baked or dropping on the floor. A driver was outside sobbing and absolutely no one was in command. I felt terrible for the employees having to deal with frustrated customers and absent leadership. Shamefully mismanaged.

I watched one of my pizzas sit in the oven for an extra 10 minutes – it was burnt. The other pizza was over sauced and had too much cheese and was raw in the middle. Not good guys.

Worst experience on 10/31/2024 ~8pm – I tried to place an order by phone for pick up/carry out after waiting about 3 minutes to get someone on the line. The woman who picked up to take my order was rude, impatient and had an overall very nasty attitude. We had people over and loud background noise and she assumed someone said something to/or about her and she made some rude remarks. Completely unprofessional and nasty. I’d been ordering from this location a couple times per month for years via app delivery so I had no idea they would employ someone like that. I would not recommend and will not be returning to this location due to staff. In fact I’ll be going to Dominos around the corner.

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME and MONEY by coming to this store. The manager is so rude and incompetent. We placed an order and the app said it was ready. When we came to pick up the pizza, at first the manager said they just put it in the oven even though it said it was ready. Then he changed his word and said they must have missed the order and need to make the pizza. He didn’t even say sorry. He was very rude and the way he talked was very unprofessional. When I told him it is ok to make mistakes but he should apologize for his actions, he said the pizza is in the oven and they are working on the order. He still didn’t apologize. We asked for refund and came out. WE will NEVER GO TO THiS STORE. Papa johns needs to hire better people.

I place an order for a Large cheese pizza. 1. The pizza was not sliced. Which was ok.
But most of all I saw a few advertisements for a large Pizza for $10.99. I ordered a large Pizza. I confirm I would be paying $10.99. Today as I was reviewing my bank account I noticed I was charged $30. I call to speak with the manager to asked why I was charged an incorrect amount. I gave the manager all my details from the time I place the order by calling the Urbana store. The time I call to verify the status of my order. I told the manager how much I was charged the manager for the Urbana location was extremely rude. Insisted that he has no record that I ever called in to order a pizza. Even though I gave him all my details. He told me he has no record of me ever placing any order. He was so rude he hung up on me.
How can someone be a manager representing Pappa John Pizza. With no customer Service. Who treats customers with no respect. Then hang up the phone on me when I gave him all details of me placing an order and was over charged $15. That’s very unfair. Do not purchase Pizza from the Urbana store. The manager is very rude. That’s the reason so many businesses closes its because of managers like this manager at the Urbana store location. Without customers there will be no Pappa Johns Pizza at Urbana.

I don’t know what happened to this papa johns,
it used to be good. Called to order the pizza and was told it would take 30 minutes. That was ok with me because they had always been very busy in the past and I was prepared for that. But after arriving, I waited another half hour for a hot but not so good pie. There’s were two people working there but only one was making pizzas.

Quick delicious but they forgot to cut the pizza. No biggie for us since we have a pizza cutter! The place looked clean and had one guy working but it was pretty slow and our pizza was ready when we picked up.
