I just want to give this place a huge praise I ordered from here yesterday 10/31/25. It was carry out order. When I say the work effort that I saw from this crew was awesome I mean it. I am someone who normally gets mad at or would just leave/cancel my order usually. But this occasion was different this staff and there manager killed a situation that was a no win situation. And any reviews from tonight that are not 5 stars should be taken away. This crew did not get mad when they were drowning in orders this crew did not yell or get angry or make one person feel like they were not heard. This crew and that manager who I watched have to pivot more than once to fix problems deserve so much praise and credit and I’m sorry for not saying that before I leave. To the tall gentleman lady and I believe other man working on the dough tirelessly never saw them stop for the almost 2 hrs I was in and out of the restaurant. I was early too again not about wait time I saw everything and if you walked in for a second you would have known it was gonna be a bit of waiting. To the gentleman working the phones and front taking the brunt of the customers great work on not getting angry and being as informative as you could. To the lady’s calling out the orders and dealing not only with the regular customers but the DoorDash/uber/grub hub people amazing work. To the manager and man working on offloading pizzas and boxing great work. You guys were a amazing workforce and should be proud. Again any customer giving you less than 5 star review for today is wrong. They can not be mad at a place doing there job to the best of there ability and you were. When they wanted to be lazy and not cook. The only people I give 0 star reviews to are the DoorDash lady who had number 1 door dasher shirt on who touched me and then said excuse me to put pizzas in her DoorDash bag you get a zero for touching me don’t do that. And the customer who jumped the line twice and got called out for it twice you suck I hope the order you’re son placed that was supposed to be ready at 9:45 was worth it because your awareness skills were not. So again to the crew who worked this day 10/31/25 great job be proud and get some rest.

Not sure what’s going on, but the food has made me sick the last three times we’ve ordered. I’ve switched up what I got each time trying to figure out if it’s a particular menu item and I can’t pin it down. Absolutely debilitating stomach pains that have me in extreme discomfort for hours on end, and waking me out of a dead sleep in the middle of the night to sit in the restroom for nearly an hour.
Really disappointing because this was our go-to PJ’s location to order out of, and this has never happened to me out of all the years I’ve been a customer. Officially retired from Papa John’s.

It’s been 4 months and my guts have never really recovered from this. I’m pretty sure those bouts of illness from those orders wrecked my stomach. I’m taking a gamble on a lot of foods I never once had issues with beforehand and when I have a “flare up” I am sick for days.
I’m not trying to be a Karen or whatever, PJ’s was my favorite and this has been sad. But something has changed in recipe or practice, I don’t know what but it really messed me up. I just think something has to be said when I’ve been having gut issues for months after having been a years long customer. Sorry guys.

Atmosphere was awesome. All I did was pick up an order and the staff was having a blast. Good energy, very contagious. They were very friendly and it was my favorite Papa John’s experience.

Pizza is almost always great here. We appreciate the quality taste 🙂 they did start using less dough this past year which is disappointing but I’ve seen that as the norm for many pizza places recently along with inflation and their prices.

Ordered a 2 topping pizza. Pizza was undercooked and toppings were light, as is the cheese. And I’m comparing them to the same pizza I’ve gotten at other Papa John’s locations. I’ve also been to this location three times now and it was the same before.
As for the service, it was fine. The guy at their counter was nice. Couldn’t give me a receipt because their printer paper was out, but nice enough.
If you’re looking for what I feel is a normal PaPa John’s pizza, go to the location on the other side of Bel Air. They’re way better at making pizzas. At least the Papa John’s pizzas I’m use to getting.

Employees were very nice. I was greeted the moment I walked in, even though they were busy making pizzas. The order was ready at the scheduled pick up time and still very hot. The place was clean and the employees were keeping busy (not standing around and talking, all the while ignoring customers like some people in other local restaurants).

Ok Pizza, this place was hopping with orders when I went. The order wasn’t ready until 28 min past the time the website said it would be. Then a whole pizza out of my 8 item order was missing. They got one made as quick as they could but still another 15 to wait in the standings room only lobby. Skip the chocolate chip cookie, dry not so great. I even reached out for customer feedback on their website over a week ago and nothing but radio silence from them.

Disappointed with our order situation tonight. After placing order, it took over 1.5 hours to be received. When received, it wasn’t hot. I had to reheat in micro. The BBQ Boneless Wings were VERY underwhelming. They were seemingly nuggets with BBQ sauce drizzled lightly over them. They too weren’t hot. My daughter refused to eat them despite my paying close to $10.
We won’t be ordering from this location again. There is one a little further away from us (Bel Air), which has been around longer, so this is will be the new one we’ll use.
This Forest Hill location NEEDS major changes to ensure success and improvement.

Let’s face it, there are countless pizza places for a reason. Papa John’s is my absolute favorite. There’s something about it that others just fall short (in my opinion). And the garlic sauce…. MMMMM. But seriously, I’ve always had great service here. Food is consistently great with almost no wait. If you’ve never been to a Papa John’s, you’re doing yourself a great disservice. Don’t just take my word for it, just check it out. You’ll be telling yourself “WOW, that guy who wrote the review just changed my life for the better”!! Your welcome.
