Very good papa John’s location. Always cook it well done, as I request. They usually put a generous amount of toppings. The papa John’s app usually has good deals. Definitely recommend.

I ordered two large pizzas for carry out one was a pepperoni. When I arrived home I noticed three slices did not have any cheese it was just dough. I called the store to see if I could get a replacement and spoke with Elias the manager. He ended up HANGING UP the phone on me in the process of me trying to figure out if they would remake it or not. I immediately called the store back while I headed to the store, and he did not pick up the phone until I was almost there 8 minutes later. I asked him why he hung up on me, he said he was making my pizza. I was upset, but I stood there and waited for my pizza to be remade. A few minutes later he shoves a pizza box on the counter, that is partly open because he didn’t shut it. He didn’t say a word to me. After a few minutes I ask him if that’s my pizza…he says it is. I was absolutely floored. To be a manager with that attitude and such poor customer service is ridiculous. Never have I ever been treated that way over a mistake someone else has made. If he doesn’t like speaking with people perhaps he is in the wrong field.

I’m a real papa Johns Fan, I don’t really know what happened this time. My “New York Pizza Style” was overcooked burn on the back. This is not a NYC pizza taste also. I was surprised when I saw my order was poorly made. But thanks, I know will not come again. There’s a Mama Lucia place very close from your location, I will go there now.

I ordered pizzas for my daughter’s bday party yesterday (for today). The party starts in 35 minutes and I just received an email that my order was cancelled. No call, no explanation. I ordered these pizzas ahead of time to give them enough notice and/or to notify me if there’s a possible issue. This is the SECOND time this has happened (happened to my son’s bday as well) but thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt. Very frustrating!!

Asked for extra sauce, ended up getting a dry pizza with toppings 2 inches from the edge. I’ve given up ordering Papa John’s in this area, the Bethesda store is just as bad. No issues at any store in Florida or other states, but around here, they are not good.

I love the Olney location. We get Papa John’s about twice a month and prefer this location. We always get take out. All of the employees we encounter are always friendly, pleasant, professional and helpful. Every single time, it is a positive experience.

The food is serviceable. Sometimes it’s cooked well, most of the time it’s a little under or overdone, but nothing too offensive. On occasion, they get a dipping sauce wrong, but that’s not a huge deal for me.
For the most part the drivers are good people, but this one dude was without a doubt the rudest driver I’ve ever had deliver anything. Every time I ask for a no contact delivery and he’ll just stand there ringing the door bell until I answer.
In my most recent encounter, I told him, “Dude, this is the third time in a row I’ve asked for no contact delivery and not gotten it.”
He proceeds to give me a thumbs up and walk off without so much as a single, “Sorry.”
I call back to him, “Next time I’m not tipping if I don’t get no contact.”
He turns around, responds, “Next time it’s taking an hour,” and walks off as he flips me off.
I’m done with this store.
Edit: I was the one who was sick at the time too. This was all to protect him, not me.

I use their online service to do a carry-out order today. It was a simple two large pizzas with one of their dessert cookie pies. Normally it should only take about 30 minutes once you place an order to pick up your order. However when I went to go pick up my order, it wasn’t ready. Mind you, I did not ask for a plan ahead time. Placed an order and expected to pick it up within 30 minutes. By the time my order was ready 52 minutes had already went by. I don’t know if it was their system or if it was just they didn’t have my order ready. What I do know is that it shouldn’t take an hour for an order like that to be ready especially when I stood in there and it was not even busy. The pizza looks good ask at the cookie pie so this review is basically more about timeliness or their lack of.

Food comes out fast and quick. Most recent trip the toppings were a little wacky (pepperoni only 80% filled) but usually the experience is great. Food comes out hot and fresh.
