I’m very disappointed with my orders. All three times I’ve ordered pizzas, they’ve arrived burnt. On all three occasions, the pizzas were overcooked, almost burnt, and the crust was very hard. I hope you improve so this doesn’t happen to other customers. We, as customers, lose our money. My son was really looking forward to his pizza, and when he opened it, it was almost burnt. It was disappointing.

I ordered a pizza online it told me it was gonna take 20 minutes. Not bad. When I showed up to get my food I ordered the only TWO workers told me they don’t have the ingredients to make my pizza and the pull apart. So I asked if they just made me an alternative. Nope. It took another 30 minutes for me to get my food. Just to add to this review they also were just standing outside when I arrived. Other peoples orders weren’t ready as well.

Used to be great food and service. Last 2 times I’ve been to this location is was horrible. The first time I get a call when I’m on my way about to pick up my pizza and they said the oven wasn’t plugged in or on and it would be another 20-30 minutes for my order to be done. The second time I get a call again when I’m almost there. I didn’t answer since I was driving. When I get there I call and no one answers,but there are zero customers present. I go inside and they said they called me to let me know they are out of flour and a worker went to the store to get more. I ask for my money back. The worker present said they could not issue me a refund and I had to wait for the worker to return with the flour if I wanted a refund. I will not return to this location. It was noon and they ran out of flour….horrible service.

I ordered three pizzas and received a notification that they were ready. When I went to pick them up, only two were there. NO ONE called me to let me know that they didn’t have the fettuccine sauce to make the third pizza. The employees showed very little concern about the situation. I won’t be going back!

Papa Johns was always my favorite chain pizza, but this location has gone way downhill lately. They are regularly out of typical items, and you don’t even find out until you arrive to pickup your order. Just seems like they should call you if you’ve ordered something they are out of. The tracker said ready for pickup on a recent order, I get there and find out they haven’t started making it because they are out of several meat toppings. How does a pizza place run out of pepperoni? This time I find out they forgot to order spicy garlic cups.

On Thursday, July 17, 2025, I visited the Pizza Hut located at 19330 Lighthouse Plaza Blvd in Rehoboth Beach to place an order. When I walked in, the gentleman working was in the back on the phone taking another customer’s order. He was polite and greeted me as he walked to the register, but I noticed he was stretching his face and playing with his hair.
After I placed my order, he went straight to making a pizza without washing his hands. I asked, “Aren’t you going to wash your hands?” His response was, everything up here is sterile—it’s clean.” I reminded him that he had just been on the phone and touching the register, which is not safe food handling practice. He replied, “This isn’t your order anyway,” and then said, “The oven kills all the germs.”
At that point, I asked him to cancel my order and refund my money — which he did.
I initially planned to wait before leaving a review because I contacted corporate, but the lack of response from upper management made me feel compelled to share my experience. If this employee is acting this carelessly in front of customers, I can only imagine what happens behind the scenes.
Whether it was my order or not, he was still putting his unwashed hands into ingredients — which is completely unacceptable. I used to enjoy their food occasionally, but I will not be returning. This employee clearly needs proper training in food safety.
All I can say is: beware before eating at this location.

The worst Papa John’s I’ve ever seen in my life! My order took 1 hour and 50 minutes to arrive, even though my house is only 3 minutes away. I couldn’t reach the restaurant by phone, couldn’t cancel the order, and when it finally arrived, it was cold! A complete disaster. I will never order from them again!
