We looked forward to a quick dinner tonight at our local Papa John’s, and while the staff were friendly and welcoming, I was disappointed to observe a number of hygiene issues that I believe need attention. At pickup the register staff were handling money, wiping sweat off their brows, and were pizza-twirling none of whom appeared to be wearing gloves. I also noticed that gentleman with long hair were wearing only hats, no hair nets, and there didn’t seem to be any protection for loose hair in the food-prep area..
I understand that everyone is busy and working hard, and again the staff were kind and efficient—but given that proper hygiene is such a core part of food safety, it would make me feel much more confident if all staff handling food or customer-facing tasks were wearing gloves when appropriate, and if loose hair was fully restrained or covered by nets. I love your pizza and hope to continue coming back—just hoping to see these small improvements for peace of mind.

Had door dash deliver at well done pizza and when it arrived it was soggy and looked like someone ate it, no sticker on box and when I called to complain some smart ass girl gave me shit…. Never again will I eat there slop

The pizza was dry, hardly any sauce and hardly any cheese, they couldn’t have made it in a skimpier way. Asked for chicken and bacon and could barely find any on the pizza. Don’t waste your money.

Last night we ordered Papa John’s pizza which we have done several times before because we like their pizza. Being Halloween we ordered 2 well ahead of time 7 pizzas and some extras for a 5pm delivery to feed an army of trick or treat kids we had over for a group walk. After waiting an extra 60 minutes, calling the store with no answer we figured they were crazy busy or there was some sort of medical emergency since there was just no answer. Turns out they were overly busy due to the volume for the night. I think many of us have all been in a situation where demands are much greater that you can service. After 90 minutes we just decided to go trick or treating and call the store during the walk, about 7pm we got a hold of the manager who apologized and handled the situation gracefully. We still had hungry kids, so we said send the food anyway if it’s still fresh.
The delivery person showed up and we weren’t home yet and knowing “just leaving the pizzas” would result in cold pizzas for our family the delivery person left not only the pizzas but the warming bags on our porch. When we arrived home 30 minutes later we found two bags with all our stuff full of still piping hot pizzas that were delicious and everyone was happy. I appreciate the store doing this very much, as I feel like a little understanding from both parties goes a long way.
