I usually don’t do reviews but decided to this time. Called in to order a Steak Bomb sub and a Roast Beef sub this week. Was asked if I wanted the roast beef sub heated (yes) and I asked for cheese and other toppings. Specifically said “sub” on both. Steak Bomb was apparently fine (was not my sandwich) but the roast beef was absolutely awful. It was on a hamburger roll(?!)-so clearly not a sub, meat was cold-so definitely not heated, the cheese was not even a little melted and the bottom roll was so soggy I couldn’t eat it. Order also took way longer than we were told on the phone so it’s not like it sat there waiting too long because we waited for the order to be ready. I thought I was just being too picky but after reading the other recent reviews, that is not the case. We will not be returning.

Was craving a taco pizza the other night Friday 9/19 and ordered from Papa Jake’s because I thought that they made the best. In the past my pizza was always done right. I called my order in for pickup and took it home. When I got home the hamburger on the pizza was totally burnt it was dried out and black, hard as a rock!! The taco chips were also burnt. I was so disappointed and I had already gone home so I didn’t take it back, it was at night and I don’t live very close. The thing that troubles me is that I know that whoever made the pizza knew without a doubt that it was burnt and gave it out anyway. Very very disappointing!

Honestly just a not great experience. The sprite tasted off, not in the soda to water ratio, but in the this tastes like it was run through a filthy hose. The bartender was nice enough to scratch and complain about some sort of rash. I had the Jakes roast beef sandwich which was both cold and soggy, but the flavor was decent. The fries were the best part of the meal and they were honestly mid tier fries. They’ve got a nice quaint dive bar feel with lotto machines and the usual tacky adornments. I’d won’t be back.

Had two large pizzas delivered, cheese and pepperoni. Both were cooked well and delivered quickly. The cheese pizza had a harder crust with a tomato based sauce. The pepperoni was not lacking in its namesake slices. Overall the pizzas were filling and satisfied our craving. Would try again.
