This place is awesome! They are NOT shy with toppings and are very accommodating. I got a pepperoni, cheese and onion calzone (w/cheese on top too – while my hubby got a steak bomb. The pepperoni was (seriously) over an inch thick for most of the calzone.
There really isn’t anywhere to done in, it’s a take out kind of place – with that being said, they do sell pizza by the slice From what I could see, it was one topping cheese, pepperoni, bacon etc…
I what is going to call in advance but I wanted to look at the menu, but the only menu I can find online only had like seven items I knew that wasn’t accurate. I took pictures of the full menu which I have included in this review..

If you are sick of big chain companies that offer generic pizza, with cardboard crusts, generic taste and no personality pizza, then give Papa Gambino’s a call and wake up your taste buds. Not only do they make great pizza to order, they make great canzone, grinders, and cold sandwiches. Their drink selection is small in comparison to other places, but they specialize in takeout or delivery. Definitely worth the call and order.

It has a warm atmosphere with the fresh aroma of pizza and spices. They have a wide variety of pizza , subs , salads and house specialty items . We got the calzone. It was delicious and didn’t disappoint. My husband and I we were able to share it . It was filled with peppers ,onions and mushrooms. It was a pepperoni and cheese calzone. It is warm and inviting place to eat . They also have soft drinks and snack food . You can get a whooopie pie for desert . I would definitely recommend this place. The food was delicious.

I always stop here for my Italian when in the area. Usually once or twice a year and I have always enjoyed it. My ham Italian on this visit was good but slightly soggy. Had a lot more pickles than usual so I figure that is probably why. My husband had the godfather and had no complaints at all. Will keep returning!

First time ordering from this location. The food looked and tasted bad. Not sure if I just got unlucky during a busy lunch rush or what, but the pizza and salad looked, smelled and tasted nothing like the state street location. We ended up not eating much of either item. Also I watched one employee stop prepping lettuce to ring up a customer on the register, she kept her gloves on while processing the customers payment, then wiped her gloves on her pants and got right back to prepping lettuce with the same gloves.

One of the best pizza places in Maine no argument there. Good quality cheese, fantastic sauce. The dough was cooked to perfection and has great flavor. Best part is absolutely no cornmeal or flour on the bottom. Price is more than fair!
