Okay I have to say that I have eaten here before and it used to be so good. Tonight I ordered the margherita pizza which was completely horrible. Hardly any cheese, any tomato, it was like eating cardboard. Like cutting the top of the cardboard box and eating it. Then we had the hot Italian sub. Ummm where was the meat? For a $20 sub at least put meat on it. The tiramisu $9 small round container ! WHAT? . Not to mention everything was cold. Won’t be going there anytime soon!!!!

Came in for a late lunch early dinner. The place is very quaint and clean. The service is outstanding. Our server was really nice and attentive even though she was busy. The NY style pizza was really good, just a bit undercooked in the middle, but the flavor was there. Pasta looked delicious, salad was fresh and crispy and their garlic knots were fluffy and fresh.

The new owners are doing such a fantastic job of continuing the Papa D’s legacy. So much heart and excellence in this place. The pizza was delicious, very fresh and the ingredients were high quality. They also had gluten free dough my wife needed and enjoyed. My 7 year old got the Spaghetti and Meatballs and ate it all, she loved it. We had the best time, love this place!

I’m leaving a 2 star review, but I’d probably leave a 1.5 star if that were an option, 1.5 because our waitress was nice and the food was not terrible.
My family does pizza night every Friday, and decided to give Papa D’s a try this evening after living locally for a few years. We arrived about 10 minutes before 6, self-seated, and the waitress greeted us and brought us menus. We decided on a large pizza for the kids, a medium Bianca pizza, and a Stromboli. We were told they were out of ricotta because of the holiday and therefore they couldn’t make it. Weird since they are next to a grocery store but whatever. We said that’s fine but the large pizza and the Stromboli. She says ok.
She comes back about 2 minutes later and said “yeah so, I’m sorry but our pizza guy doesn’t wanna make the Stromboli. He’s throwing a fit.” We were kind of stunned so we didn’t immediately respond and she told us that he said if we really want it we gotta wait 45 minutes. We were there with 2 little antsy kids so we decided to just get the pizza.
Then, we waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And watched them put in and pull out over a dozen pizzas for to go and pick up orders. A family came in after us and was served multiple dishes before our food arrived. We ended up waiting just over 45 minutes for our pizza (guess we should have ordered the Stromboli too anyway??), a highly frustrating wait when A. I heard her on the phone telling people their pizza would be delivered in 30-35 minutes (10 minutes shorter for delivery?), and B. With two small very hungry children.
As far as the pizza goes, once we finally got it, the pizza quality was fine – not bad but not amazing. Not a pizza I’d write home about but a change of pace from the big chain places.
Had we had an amazing experience here, we likely would have patronized again, but given the chef’s disinterest in making part of our meal, the lack of ingredients despite being 200 yards from a grocery store, and the mid pizza, we won’t be returning. I’d warn against dining in at this location if you’re in a hurry or want anything besides pizza.

This is nowhere near the pizza it used to be! The crust is the worst I’ve ever had, obviously did not get the recipe for the dough from the former owners. I did not go there often because their prices were high, but once in a while knew the quality was worth it. Not anymore! Could not be more disappointed.

You seat yourself table service in this small restaurant. The server will greet and come to your table very quickly. Service was very friendly. Food was delicious. The building is dated, but it is a strip mall, not their fault. It was clean. We had the garlic cheese bread, chicken Parmesan lunch special and a 16”pizza. Way more than enough for three people, we left with to go boxes, but we wanted to try a variety.

I ordered the Alfredo gnocchi. The gnocchi was perfect and the Alfredo sauce.. was AMAZING!!!! Best I ever had! Makes you want to drink the sauce and kiss the chef! I want to buy a gallon of it!
