Papa Bob’s is one of those small-town gems that instantly feels like home. It’s always been a great place to grab a meal, and it holds a special place for our family since it was one of my dad’s favorites. Every visit brings back a bit of that familiar warmth and nostalgia that’s hard to find anywhere else.
The food never disappoints, but the eggplant parm grinder deserves a special mention — perfectly breaded, loaded with flavor, and served on fresh bread that holds up beautifully. It’s the kind of sandwich you look forward to from the first bite to the last.
The service is just as memorable as the food. The team is always friendly and welcoming, treating every guest like a regular. Between the great food, the genuine hospitality, and the personal connection our family has to the place, Papa Bob’s will always be a spot we love returning to.

Service was very good. Food was good. We had stuffed peppers and beef veg soup. They were good. We will stop again. More of a bar vibe and noise level is up there but a nice place.

On a very snowy weekend my boyfriend and I made a visit to Becket. The roads were so bad that we didn’t want to go very far but wanted to watch the Patriots game. Papa Bob’s was the closest bar/restaurant to us so we decided to give it a chance. The second we walked in we were greeted by Frank, Tami, and Bob. Throughout the course of the game we were lucky enough to talk to them more and we both really had a great night. They were so kind and accommodating – not to mention their food was delicious (AND Tami air fries all of her food – love it). The next day, when my boyfriend and I were on our way out of Becket, we realized his car died. Since the roads were so bad in that area, AAA couldn’t make it to us for at least four hours. We called Papa Bobs restaurant and within ten minutes, Frank drove over to jump our car. I’m sure our dead battery experience was unique: however, I am confident that the way they treat their customers is not. Thank you Tami, Bob, and Frank for making us at home. We will certainly be back this summer to see what the outside of the bar is all about!

I have wanted to like this place SO many times but each time I am more disappointed than the last. The place itself is adorable! This place has so much potential but lacks the staff to lend to the potential. Really sad. If you’re going to have a beer – it’s a good stop. The food is bland and not well prepared. The disorganization of the waitstaff is maddening. I’m not sure how it gets some many good reviews because it’s not a place worthy of them. Sorry- not sorry. Hopefully this place gets a staff overhaul and this place becomes great. Won’t be back.
