The food is amazing! If you are new to Peruvian food, let me educate you and order the following:
– do you like steak? Order lomo saltado or huancaina pasta with lomo
– do you like seafood? Order ceviche or leche de Tigre and then they have the best seafood mix rice!
-do you like chicken? Order chicken with rice or chicken fried rice Peruvian rice
-do you want to try new things? Causa acevichada, pulpo al olivo!
The chef is Peruvian and definitely know what he’s doing!
Service needs to get better but THE FOOD IT IS WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE!

This is seafood ceviche. Very pretty presentation for takeout. I had eaten a sweet potato before leaving a review. For some reason, I feel better after I eat here. When I have an upset stomach and order this dish it neutralizes it. I think it’s the lime juice. The food is always prepared quickly and the staff are friendly.

I really wanted to like Pao Pao Latin Cuisine, but unfortunately it didn’t meet expectations. We started with the causa, which was the best dish of the night. However, the mains — aji de gallina and tacu tacu — were disappointing in flavor.

The bigger concern was the cleanliness. The tables and floors felt sticky, and the bathroom was even worse, which made the overall experience uncomfortable. Sadly, based on this visit, I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant.

Big mistake waiting this long to try this place. We ordered a mix of appetizers and entrées and honestly loved every bite. The flavors are unique and incredibly satisfying. The Peruvian fried rice is a must; creative, comforting, and delicious. Chorizo was great, beef stir fry was cooked perfectly, and the value is hard to beat. Stop driving past it and just go.

First time trying out this new restaurant in my city! The young man sat us very quickly and was extremely friendly and helpful with the menu. He answered all the questions we had and seemed genuinely happy that we were there. The young lady made our drinks which were very colorful and tasty. The menu was flavorful and vast with many different options for share or big platters. We love seeing new options come into the city. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to see this place flourish and grow. Can’t wait to see how the interior becomes decorated as well, we were admiring the black and green accents!

This place seriously knows how to make food taste amazing! The flavors were so well-balanced, each bite was a delightful experience. I can’t wait to go back and try more things on the menu. Overall, it’s a must-try for anyone who appreciates a peruvian good meal!

Everything was fantastic! After visiting Peru this summer I’ve had trouble finding authentic South American cuisine and they absolutely nailed it! they had tons of gluten free options (most of the menu infact) and The stuffed fried plantains were a major stand out. The service was awesome and the food came out very quickly, if you’re in rutland I would highly recommend giving this place a try. I will definitely be going back!

We came to Rutland a day early before a concert to explore. We were looking for something that we could not get at home (near Lake Placid, NY) Hubby isn’t very familiar with Latin American food beyond basic “Mexican” or Carribbean. I have traveled to Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Dominican Republic but never Peru or Venezuela, so I was eager and open to trying a variety of things. Hubby was ecstatic to see grilled octopus on the menu, as it wasn’t on the online menu. He fell in love with it on a trip to Spain at the Festival of St. James. He has had it Spanish, Greek, Turkish, and Japanese styles and he said this was THE BEST he has ever had. The Chimchurri sauce complimented it very well. I had the Fried rice, which was bright and delicious, perfect for a hot day. We also had the tequenos, and Peruvian chicken wings. I love the anticucho marinade so much I have looked up recipes and found the aji panca paste online. It may be my new go to for wings. I also tried the Inca Kola. It was sweet, but not too sweet and refreshing. It had a pineapple with hint of bubblegum flavor, light but not syrupy, I’d get it again. We live over 3 hrs away but PaoPao would be a motivating reason to come back to Rutland, nevermind any of the other attractions. We highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious and authentic Peruvian food! We arrived close to closing time, and they still waited for us with such kindness. The service was excellent, and the chef even came by our table to check on us. We’ll definitely be coming back!
