Panuchos is a decent Mexican restaurant in San Juan, but it’s not without its ups and downs. We ordered the fish tacos, and the breaded version was definitely better than the roasted—crispy, flavorful, and well-seasoned, while the roasted ones were a bit bland in comparison.
The margarita was a total disappointment—watery and lacking flavor. However, the Classic VIP Margarita ($15) was much better, balanced, and enjoyable. The quesadilla was decent—cheesy, satisfying, and nicely cooked—but not particularly memorable; it hit the mark but didn’t stand out among other Mexican options.
We also tried the churros, which were a letdown. They were overly sugary and came with ice cream on the side, but no chocolate sauce for dipping, which felt like a missed opportunity for a proper dessert experience.
Overall, Panuchos is fine for a casual Mexican meal, but some items are hit or miss, and the experience doesn’t quite live up to expectations.

The chilaquiles and nachos here are really good! Big portion sizes, and the staff is kind. The food might take a little time to make but this is because they are making it fresh. Vegetation friendly!

This food was top notch. This was one of the best meals we have had in Condado. The street corn was tender, flavorful and delicious. The shrimp tacos were bursting with flavor and so fresh. This was also the quickest service, our food came out so quick. The servers were friendly and pleasant.

Don’t tell the locals that one of my favorite restaurants in Puerto Rico is a Mexican joint! Order any Taco off that menu and you will be impressed and coming back for more.
The staff is friendly, the drinks are delicious. The ambiance is cool with pop art and fun pictures of small dogs.

Got the fish tacos, worth the order. One order can feed two easily.

Visited this restaurant twice during our visit to Puerto Rico. Lovely drinks, and food options for all. The server were friendly and very helpful with menu suggestion and accommodating with customizing vegetarian meals for us. The first time we got an order of elote and quesadilla. Both were extremely good however the quesadilla was a little spicy and we had to scoop out the jalapenos. The second time, we ordered the same plus an additional order of nachos. We didn’t realize until the food arrived that both the nachos and quesadilla had plantains and this time we had to dig and leave out the plantains. But again, no complaints. The overall vibe and food satisfied our souls so we would definitely be back wherever we are in PR.

The first place we stopped at in Puerto Rico was a small and charming restaurant. The door on the wall was a quirky touch, and the wallpaper gave the place a cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious and satisfied all my cravings. I do wish they had some spicy pre-prepared options because I love spicy food. They didn’t have a lot of rice choices, which I was really looking forward to. The dessert was fantastic. The service was quick, and the waiting time was very pleasant. I ended up eating here twice during my time in Puerto Rico.

Great food, I had the duck quesadilla and my fiance had the fried fish tacos. Both were delicious. They have a nice selection of dishes and many drinks and cocktails to try.
Lunch: We had the Elote (Street Corn) as an appetizer and it was delicious. Tasy, creamy, with a little bit of tajin. The House Nachos were huge! Enough for four people probably. We got them with chicken, a bit heavy on the red onions but overall super tasty and filling
