Decided to snag a meal here via a former local that recommended the place. Cute, nostalgic drive-in, yes. Service was just fine for the type of establishment, definitely friendly and answered all the questions we had about certain items we’ve never heard of before. Food was good, we ate everything up (a few different burgers, fish and chips, jalapeño cheese curds, fried portobello mushrooms, and onion rings) but I’ve experienced better quality at small town drive ins elsewhere. They do have several picnic tables to sit at if you don’t want to eat in your car (which we did take a table) but half of them are on lopsided pavement and half the table will be sitting low.

Walked up right after they opened and was greeted and had my order taken as soon as I was done looking at the menu. The woman that took my order was friendly and helped me out with the few questions I had. All the food was made fresh and only took a couple of minutes to get finished and brought out to me. They bacon cheeseburger was top notch and was exactly what I was looking for from a burger. Their cheese curds, French fries, and popcorn chicken were awesome, and the servings were huge! I definitely got my monies worth. I’m thrilled that I gave this place a try and hope I can back again some time!

Never left the car, so I can only comment about the food and service. I had a trailer so I parked away from the building and it was raining. The most energetic, polite and helpful server came running to my car almost immediately. A smile never left her face the entire time we interacted. They didn’t have a Dbl Bacon Cheeseburger on the menu, but she was more than happy to make one. They also only had one size of fries and she made me a half order without even blinking an eye. The frosty mug of root beer, burger and fries were great. But the bacon made it memorable. Full, thick slices sticking out past the bun and cooked to perfection. Hopefully another Marketplace trip will take me through this hamlet again so I can enjoy this place once more.

Great food you would expect from a small town drive in. Decent size menu with different burgers and baskets. Good root beer, and ice cream as well. Not a lot of seating, and it is all outdoors, but you can eat in your vehicle if you like. Nice destination to if you are out on a motorcycle ride.

We’re here in WI for a three day trip and I have came here twice, even though I hadn’t been there before coming up to WI. I recommend the fish and chips. The prices are amazing because for the fish and chips you get two fish, a bunch of fries, two buttered toast, and a small thing of coleslaw for only $8.50, including tax. The building looks a little run down but it is very evident that they still maintain the cleanliness of the place. Would come back!

This was our first time visiting and will most likely be our last unless we order ahead of time to pick up. We waited a good hour for our food. No one took our order..my husband and kids ordered at the window…we weren’t even given our drinks when we ordered! Absolutely do not recommend with kids because they definitely don’t want to wait an hour! We ordered everything to go…burgers were all smashed and no ketchup or anything was provided. Definitely disappointing!!

This is THE home of comfort food. Don’t you miss the old days of drive-ins a the perfect greasy meal. It lives in Durand. The Panther has stayed true to its culture and in doing so made itself a landmark. The nostalgia is unbeatable. My only complaint is perhaps a vegetarian or vegan option. However, that is not a make or break. This place will be popular for generations. I highly recommend getting yourself out to grab a bite here.
