Harder Kulm was the perfect choice for my wife and I, mountain‑top views without the extreme altitude. The funicular ride up is quick, unfortunately not too scenic, and never feels too high, and at the top the air is cool and comfortable, with no breathless feeling at all. We arrived in september and had very good weather.Amazing sunshine for what we thought would be cold and wet.
We ate on the Panorama Restaurant terrace, looking straight down over Interlaken, both lakes, and the tiny homes scattered through the valley. Absolutely breathtaking.I know a lot of people say that, but until you’ve been there.You can’t speak on it.
THE GRUB: we ordered the cheese fondue with bread and potatoes serving for one as we don’t eat a lot. We also ordered a pizza.I don’t remember what it was because I only have pictures , and it was about three months ago. ,and it went down the gullet so fast I probably didn’t taste it much. The cheese fondue with bread and potatoes was hot, flavorful, and filling, and the pizza had a crisp crust, melted cheese, and enough toppings to feel like a real meal.
Service was friendly and efficient, and we never felt rushed. Bixby we dealt with two step particularly, and they actually seemed interested in where we were from, and what we thought about Switzerland and the restaurant. Harder Kulm gave us exactly what we wanted: an easy‑to‑reach viewpoint where we could breathe.,We enjoyed fondue for the first time in any country, and a well built pizza, as well as and soak in one what I would call the best of the best balcony‑style views over Switzerland’s lakes and valleys.

When I visited Interlaken last year, I took the Harder Kulm Funicular to the top, and the ride itself was a lot of fun with fantastic views as you ascend. The Harder Kulm viewpoint offers absolutely breathtaking panoramas of Interlaken, Lake Thun, Lake Brienz, and the surrounding mountains. The scenery is simply stunning, especially at sunrise or sunset, it truly feels like you’re on top of the world!

The incline ride up was smooth, and the views from the top were stunning, with a perfect panorama of the lakes and surrounding peaks. The viewing platform and restaurant made the visit easy and enjoyable. A great spot to take in some of the best scenery in the region, and great hot chocolate. Service wasn’t good, though, bad waitress.

We enjoyed our dinner with an unforgettable view — honestly one of the most stunning restaurant settings you’ll ever find. We tried the Cordon Bleu and the Fondue, both were delicious and very satisfying after the ride up. Service was friendly and efficient, and we loved how cozy the restaurant felt even with all the tourists around. Perfect spot to relax, enjoy great Swiss food, and take in that iconic Harder Kulm panorama. Highly recommended!

A feast with one of the best view possibly. There was a variety in the menu, I chose to have Fondue and vegetable cream soup, with their signature beer pint.
The food were good and hot, perfect for the cold weather. The waiter was very friendly and accomodating.

I arrived before the restaurant officially opened so it felt a bit too early for a heavy cheese fondue.
Instead, I ordered the raclette cheese plate and it was absolutely delicious.
Wouldn’t hesitate to go back and try other dishes.

We didn’t eat in the restaurant though there did looked great. Truly this place is a must see if you’re in interlaken. It has the best views of the area especially in sunset it’s breathtaking. Please don’t skip this visit!!

Harder kulm is a scenic mountain which gives you a wonderful view of Interlaken from the top with two lakes on each side. You can also get a view of alps. There is restaurant at the top that treat your hunger stomach if you did a hike to the top and even if you took the steepest cogwheel train. Also there is a small counter at the back of the restaurant that sells quick bites like frites coffe and drinks.

Let’s face it your paying for the view but at least the food was worth it! Very enjoyable experience if you are going on a warm day be aware shade is limited but there is spots if you’re lucky. This is a great experience if visiting the interlaken region
