First time dining at a Michelin Star restaurant and did not leave disappointed. Everything was phenomenal from beginning to end. The food was paces well, truly allowing for us to take our time and really savor each flavor. The cocktails we’re absolutely delicious as well. It was definitely an unforgettable experience.

Made a reservation for this restaurant as it would be a first Michelin star restaurant in Mexico. Left a note about gluten intolerance.

Partner and I arrived and we’re greeted by everyone! We were seated promptly. Our server Cruz did a great job of explaining the menu and drinks.
I ordered the whiskey citrus sour and the Bourbon Rouge. (If you’re in between pick the bourbon Rouge). Both drinks were amazing though.
We then ordered the “Ensalada de betabel”, “Aguachile de pulpo y Camarón” and “la torre de jitomate”
Each of them had an amazing assortment of flavors. Our favorite of the 3 was the Torre de Jitomate as the flavors of the cheese, avocado and tomato paired well with each other.
They also served my partner gluten free alternatives. Which we felt was great that all the staff new about this! Great attention to detail
I order the menu of the day which Included the appetizer, and entree followed by dessert.

The main plates I ordered were the “MUSLOS DE POLLO CON RAVIOLI DEL PLIN”. Partner order the scampi which they had prepared with gluten free pasta!
Portions were great, food was amazing!

The mango dessert is also delicious.

Ambiance is private and quiet, but can get louder as the night goes on. We came in at 7 and it was the perfect time for a date.
Staff are attentive, respectful would definitely come again.

How does this place get a Michelin star when the service is sub par. Waiters have no clue about the menu…We ordered the menu of the day opposite of each other so we could try 6 items…The aguachile was like where is the spicy part very bland…the squash soup was excellent…the main courses we tried the trout it was cooked perfectly but the beans under it where like who thought of that not good…the other main course was ravioli with chicken thighs why not duck instead of cheap thighs also the raviolis were like dumplings super disappointing…Finally the desserts the lychee dessert was the highlight of the meal…the chocolate cake with beet flavored ice cream was unedible and we removed it to eat the chocolate cake…This was our 2nd and last visit after extremely bad service.

Pangea, a one-Michelin-star restaurant in San Pedro Garza García’s Arboleda area, offers a tasting menu that leans more French than Mexican, with Mexican ingredients used selectively. The August 2024 menu included a winter squash tamal with crème fraîche and caviar, a raviolo in a green herb broth, and a range of proteins across the meal, including seafood, duck, and beef.

The waitstaff was really great and accommodated my needs. I speak English, but there was no language barrier, which was really nice. I thought the food was very nice, especially the dessert, but overpriced. After looking up the restaurant later, I realized it had a Michelin star. I think the food was very good, but not Michelin level good in my opinion. Giving 5 stars for the staff and service level.

Their Michelin star is well deserved. The courteous and helpful staff were patient with my minimal Spanish skills. The atmosphere is very cool and upscale.

The best of course was the food. Everything from the bread and butter to the final desserts were a delightful experience. The aguachile was so flavorful, and the steak and foie gras were cooked to perfection.

Very good food and a well deserved Michelin Star.
Impeccable presentation without falling into pretentiousness, and top quality ingredients.

We ordered a tuna tartare appetizer and it was a delicious way to start our dinner.

We had the catch of the day and a magret de canard, both mains were excellent and everything on the plates had a harmonious relation in between.

The restaurant has a simple but good kids’ menu without being a junky kids’ menu.

The dessert, a mango-coconut take on traditional flavours was surprisingly good, it looks a little bit on the weird side but nevertheless good.

Service was slow and not consistent, it is probably the only downside of the experience dining at Pangea. The hostess and the first server to greet you were good and attentive but after that, a very uneven service.

But overall it was an amazing experience. Will definitely be back.

This place was great. Really good service, always attentive. The food as a whole was really good, but I felt like it was too elaborate as well. I think one or two elaborate plates would’ve been enough but it was everything. The tomato salad and pâté are a must. One very fresh and the other very smooth. The tomato pasta was delicious, definitely one of their best dishes. The mains were all good. Specially the duck leg with gnocchi, which I’m not usually a fan of but I was pleasantly surprised. The desserts were both good and nicely portioned.

The price fix was very lovely. The food was high effort, with tried and true flavor combinations that left us smiling after each and every beautifully plated dish. The service was noticeably better than we are used to in similarly priced SF bay area restaurants. Fun meal, but watch out for the very sweet cocktails – maybe stick to wine if that’s not your thing!
