I was guilty of placing an order about 10 minutes before the store was about to close. When I had arrived it was around 9:05PM and I thought I had lost my order but they were kind enough to call me back and help arrange for me to pick it up.
They had ZERO reason to do that and I could have easily just asked for a refund on the app but they were very understanding about it and I was truly sorry for being so last minute.
Thank you guys for being so sweet, I’ll for sure remember it. ❤️
However, my experience at this location was disappointing. The food was prepared surprisingly quickly, but it looked unappetizing and lacked the care and quality I’m used to. It felt rushed, and honestly, it didn’t live up to the standard I expect from Panera Bread.
I really hope this was just a one-off issue because I’ve always loved this place. But this experience made me question whether I’d return to this specific location.
As much as I was hoping for breakfast, I came right when they switched to lunch. I went for the Chipotle Chicken Avo Melt, Vegetarian Autumn Squash Soup, & Caffe Latte. The sandwich was pretty good and filling, so I had some of the soup but couldn’t get through most of it. I heard that the water didn’t taste clean so heads up if you need some water to go with your meal yet my coworker found the sandwich to be pretty good and her broccoli cheddar soup had a bit more cheese than she was hoping for.
One of the girls at the front counter is super sweet & tends to find me to give me coffee; the counter where they prep the food also has a screen with the approximate wait time of your order with your name on it which was helpful & something I hadn’t seen before.
I do enjoy the pastries and sandwiches, by far better than the cafeteria at my work and in terms of price, is about the same but tastes better. The prices are a bit on the steeper side with a sandwich generally costing at least $12.00. I’d put their sandwiches better than a Subway or Jimmy Johns. I think the bread is why.
Also, shout out to the guy who works the food prep on the weekday mornings because he is just on top of getting the orders out including helping his co-workers out too. One time, I got a large coffee and normally I get a regular so that same guy is used to me and hands me a regular. Without realizing it myself, he ends up rushing up to me to switch me out cups and was very polite about it.
Anyway, I’d give the sandwiches a 8/10, the pastries a 7/10 and the customer service a 10/10. It’s nice when you patronize a place that has employees that look like they hate their job like at other places I’ve gone to before.
I’ve been to this restaurant before but never tried their soup until recently. I decided to try the broccoli cheddar soup, and oh my—it was amazing! Ever since that first taste, I’ve been coming back regularly, especially during the winter months. It’s warm, comforting, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
