This has the potential be such a nice location but attention to cleanliness needs to be improved. I’m a sips club member and frequent Paneras across the country try. Here the restrooms have locks and need a code to enter. Even keeping people out they were out of soap and toilet paper. Every table is dirty with crumbs on them, the floor, and around the fountains. That said, the staff were quick to address the bathroom issues after it was brought to their attention.

I should have known when I walked in this Panera and the door was filthy this wasn’t going to end well. I placed my order on the app which is another story – not user friendly at all. My order was ready after I walked through the dirty door, and the woman that gave it to me was very friendly. When I got to my car and checked my order, sure enough the “customizations” that I requested were not included. Their thimble sized portions of dressing aren’t even enough for their small portion sized salads, so I requested extra which was not included. And in theory you get to choose a side for each entree – I choose the baguette which is usually really good. The baguettes were harder than a hockey puck, and completely dried out. When I went in to try and at least get enough dressing for the mini salad, a woman that had a badge on that said manager stepped up and was argumentative from the moment I stepped up to the counter. She said that what I ordered is what I got, even though it was clear that one side was missing. She continued to argue with me – over bread and salad dressing on a $25+ order and finally said she would give my missing items to me this time but I needed to learn how to use the app. That won’t be a problem, because I won’t be coming back. With as many options there are out there, I can do better with people who actually appreciate my business and won’t argue with me over a piece of stale bread.

As mentioned in other reviews, this cafe location is heavily lacking in basic restaurant cleanliness from day to day. Aside from dirty tabletops and trash on the floor throughout business the entire building is in need of a fresh remodel. Many chairs/booths have ripped upholstery. Plus holes in the lobby walls badly needing a fresh paintjob.
If you plan to eat here in the year 2026 then be prepared to prep your own table while cleaning up other customer’s lobby garbage. The kids behind the counter cannot be bothered.

Placed an online order for a large Hazelnut tote. Received the “Ready” email at 8:33am, at 8:37 I arrived and was told they were making it. I waited for a bit then inquired again. Was told it didn’t hit their screen till 8:47am. Which is fine. It was the on-site managers response that puzzled me. I dont think I looked impatient or anything but her statement was, “You can wait or you can cancel the order.” A simple I’m so sorry, here’s a muffin while you wait woulda been great. Do better Panera.

Panera came through with an order for our small group event. While we just got two totes of hot chocolate, Rich was courteous and professional and the staff at pick up were all friendly. We got a huge Panera bag to carry our order to the event which was super handy. Most of all, the hot chocolate was warmly welcomed by kids and adults at our event. Many thanks and I’ll consider Panera again for a group event.

I just moved to the Boulder area. I thought I’d check out the local Panera. I was very impressed. The gentleman at the register was very friendly. My orange scone was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was warm and clean. I’ll be back!

Subject: Racist & Disrespectful Experience at Panera Bread 29th Street Boulder
Dear Panera Bread Management,
I’m writing to share a disappointing experience my wife and I had during our recent visit to your 1855 29th St, Boulder, CO 80301 store on 10/22/2025.
When we placed our order, the young woman at the counter was very pleasant. She asked whether we wanted apple and baguette sides for our two meals and also offered us chips that come with the full-size orders. We appreciated her kindness and tipped well.
However, when our food was ready, the tall gentleman who was calling out orders handed us our meals without the chips. When I politely went back to ask for them, he told me we had already received our apple and baguette and gave me just one bag of chips. The tone and manner in which he handled this felt dismissive and disrespectful.
What made the situation worse was that his attitude made me feel unwelcome — as if I were being treated differently because of my background. I’m an American citizen, but in that moment, I felt like an outsider. No customer should ever feel that way.
I returned the apple, baguette, and the chips and left feeling very disappointed. I hope this employee receives appropriate training on customer service and cultural sensitivity, so other guests do not have a similar experience.
Thank you for taking this seriously.
Sincerely,
B Shrestha

Panera bread consistently messes up the most basic orders. I got a half tuna sandwich. When I got home, this is what I got. Not only is the tablespoon of meat ridiculous, but it wasn’t even the tuna I ordered. It was the chicken salad with walnuts, which I have a significant intolerance to. This really is the last straw for me, and I don’t plan to return to Panera and waste my time and money on them.

Very nice and clean. Perfect place to stop for a break before, during or after a day of shopping. Lots of seating. Coffee and pastries were excellent. Highly recommended.

They keep yhe rapid pickup behind the counter so you have to wait for your rapid pickup, super lame. Also the bread has been crap, come to find out panera is switching from fresh baked daily to “par” baked. They quality definitely has been noticed. They also keep the back door locked, which sucks because this parking lot is full all the time. So you have to park far and walk to the farthest possible door.
