Stopped in today with my family and ordered 2 of the new chicken Roma Asiago bagel stack and this is what it looked like. 1 tomato slice and almost no chicken to be seen!! Talk to the desk about it and they gave me a bowl with about 6 tiny pieces of chicken for the 2 sandwiches combined! They said they are not making enough money on the sandwich so they had to cut back on the chicken! $9 for this sandwich and they arnt making money on it! ( look at the picture) Said we weren’t the first customers to complain either! I was at panera in Waukesha a week ago and it actually looked like the picture shown when you order. Apparently this location is more worried about their own pockets than customers happiness. Will not be returning to this location. I would suggest going to a different location seeing others are complaining about the same thing. Never had an experience like this at Panera.

Service is apathetic. Typically they are out of items. They don’t make their items according to the recipes. Unflavored avocado toast. Out of chocolate sauce so they chose not to decorate the top of their chocolate croissants and they still charged full price for it. Outside garbage is sitting right in front of an indoor seating area so it takes up what could be a nice view of the giant Olympia hill. Oconomowoc isn’t going to tolerate this for long. Photos included of our croissant vs what is advertised. When I brought this up to the staff they were just like, “sorry, out of chocolate sauce so we just left it plain.”

I have tried this location twice both for pickup orders. The first time I ordered the family meal and the container of soup was about 2/3rds full. This time I totally got the wrong salad and they were out of the bread I ordered (before noon – so not a late in the day attempt). I hope that I am actually refunded the price of the bread as they said… we’ll see, but so far I am not impressed by the ability to get what I ordered. Both times I was in a rush so I didn’t thoroughly check my order before leaving.
Based on my experience, if you are going to order from the Oconomowoc location, make sure you check your order completely to avoid surprises.

I had such a great experience here that I had to leave a review. When I pulled up to the drive-through, I was greeted by a very nice girl with small blue hoop earrings and her hair in a bun. I didn’t get her name, but she immediately stood out because of how warm and genuine she was. She even complimented me, which completely made my day.

She noticed my dog in the car and offered a pup cup without me even asking. That small gesture meant so much, and my dog was very happy. You can tell she truly cares about customers and enjoys what she does.

The food was fresh and tasted great, and the whole team seemed friendly and hardworking. The girl who helped me especially left such a positive impression. I truly see a bright future for workers like her. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I’m really disappointed in Panera Bread, not just with the quality but especially the quantity of meat on their sandwiches. We paid $44 for lunch for two, and honestly, it was such a letdown.
The young lady who took our order was polite, but we weren’t asked if we had a rewards number, or if we wanted chips, bread, or an apple with our meals. We were just given all bread.
When we opened our chicken sandwiches, we honestly couldn’t believe what we were looking at. There wasn’t even a full piece of chicken, just three tiny, thin strips. (You can see in the photo: the bread on the right side shows the little bits of chicken, while the bread on the left just has a lump of mozzarella cheese and a few vegetables.)

Order food for here, Came cold and packed up like to go but on a plate. Bread bowl was unassembled and cold. The CUP of soup on the side of the bread BOWL was pathetic. All of the drinks are empty. Not that many places to sit and study inside. No booths. Tables are dirty. Parking lot is as ridiculous as the rest around here. Very Disappointed.

Panera has really gone downhill since they were acquired by private equity. I used to love going for lunch but now it’s not really worth it. Portions were super small, food was slow coming out and the people at the counter seemed kind of confused as to what’s going on. The bakery also seems to sell out of the good cookie flavors right away, which I get, but then make more? For the money you pay, I don’t really feel satisfied with what I get. This is more of a Panera corporate problem, but the staff suffer too when they aren’t given adequate resources or training to do their jobs. I used to be a Sip Club member but didn’t opt to renew this month and won’t be back.

The drive thru may get your order off by an avocado or two. The food however is fresh and yummy. Don’t expect five star service with the drive thru, i.e. no spoons for soup or complimentary napkins. But the essentials of your food will not be forgotten like the actual meal 😉

I had hoped they’d have worked through some of their discrepancies by now, but part of our order was missing. While the food was okay, not getting everything we expected and paid for was a disappointment. If they continue to request tips with this lack of service, they’re going to be surprised when they’re not coming in. From us, you have to prove your worth before you’ll get any type of tip from us.

UPDATE: ordered two bowls of chicken noodle soup for pickup. One was just full of deliciousness, the other was all broth with one single noodle and one single piece of chicken. What in the heck?????? We paid $20 for that?

Under poor management at this location. I have yet to get a menu item whre all the ingredients are there. Primarily the salads. Seems thrown together and rushed. Tomatoes not fresh total mush, managers need to take better inventory. Forget to.put items in bag. No croutons for soup, no utensils even though I checked box. You charge for certain items on a salad, if none available price should go down. Rip off!!
