I came here twice now. The first time took 3 times to get my sandwich right. I chalked that up to it being the opening day. I came back today and my half of sandwich looked like this when opening. It’s a mess. Toppings not even on there. Bread is split and the cheese for some reason they only put at the top of the sandwich. Definitely not looking good.

Food is good but I think skimpy on the salads. I tried twice and both times it didn’t seem like a full salad for $13. I ordered dine in and they gave me carry out containers. Layout is weird and seating limited. It’s more like Panera express.

This new, small Panera’s got a drive-thru, maybe 7 tables inside, and a long bar table with stools. One cool thing is the automatic coffee machines that brew one fresh cup of coffee at a time. As for the waiting time for your food, it took them 12 minutes to bring me a tuna sandwich and a warm soup (not hot enough), and I’ve read that other people have complained about this as well. Maybe they’re still a bit disorganized since it’s a new restaurant, maybe they’re understaffed. If so, I hope the franchisee hires more workers. Also, they serve your dine-in food as if it were carry-out, which is understandable since this feels more like a Panera “express” than a sit-in restaurant. Four stars for now, as opposed to three, hoping they will fix some of their minor hiccups. Other than that, cool, tiny, charming little place. Located off E 109th Ave.

Food was great, good portions and everything came out on time. Only complaint is it’s very small, you may wait for a table if you come at prime times. We will definitely be back tho! Such a good addition to crown point

I ordered Rapid Pick-Up from this new location and the app quoted a 50 min wait due to order volume, which I understood and planned around. I specifically arranged my lunch break to align with that scheduled pickup time.

I arrived about 15 minutes early and waited patiently. However, my order was not ready until approximately 40 minutes after the quoted time. I ended up waiting for nearly my entire lunch hour instead of being able to enjoy my meal as planned.

What made this even more frustrating was that there was no option in the app to cancel the order despite the excessive delay. When I finally received my food, my “warm” sandwich was completely cold.

I understand that new locations can experience growing pains, no cancellation option, and cold food after an extended wait are not acceptable. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

I know this location is new and there is always a learning curve but the staff seemed to really struggle. Took 30 mins for me to get a salad. Almost every person whose order came out had something missing or wrong. People who ordered before me were still waiting for their food while I ate.
The manager was quick to fix any issues but she shouldn’t have had to do that if orders were right in the first place.

I felt like they opened too quick with minimal training. This location is much smaller than a typical location too.

Order a Spicy Steak Asiago Bagel Stack, Broccoli Cheddar Soup Bowl, Asiago Croissant Twists, and a Dr Pepper via Panera app for pick up in Drive thru. The staff member that assisted me in the drive thru and brought out my order to my car was very friendly and helpful letting me know where to pull up. I waited for my food, but it was only for a couple minutes (I was also a little early for pick up time). I will definitely be back as I am so happy we have one in Crown Point now.

We were excited to visit the new Panera but it was largely a disappointment. It was 5:30 on a Friday and we ordered dine-in. The food took forever, the garbage was overflowing, and all dine-in customers were served in throw away containers. The manager said they were understaffed, which may have been true, but that was not the only issue. The layout is not very functional and the employees seemed undertrained. The food was good but the overall experience was not what you expect from Panera. If you aren’t ready to open . . . Don’t open.
