Doing so, gives me an excellent chance to see what type of food restaurants serve and what type of customer service they provide!
This helps me decide where I want to spend my own money when I go out to eat!
I have went back to many of the restaurants that Ive picked up food from; but as a customer rather than a delivery person.
That being said, I wont be spending my money at Panera Bread as long as this certain girl is still working there.
I have had to go to Panera Bread on 3 different occasions to pick up food for my customers. Each time the same girl has been extremely Rude & Hostile to me & to other delivery drivers!
All 3 times my Drivers App informed me that my customers food was ready to be picked up! But All 3 times the order was not ready!
The most recent time, I walked in and waited 10 minutes before an employee was close enough to speak with! Unfortunately it was the same girl who has been rude on my other 2 trips into Panera Bread!
I simply asked her, “Is that order for ****?” She rudely replied, “I’m working on 1 now! You will get yours in the order we received it”!
Rather than answer “YES this order is hers”, or “No, hers has 2 orders ahead of it.” So I replied, “I’m sorry, is that her order?” She replied back, “We are sick of You Delivery Drivers coming in and being all impatient, we get them in order we receive them!” I replied, “I simply asked if that was the order You are working on!”
Next to quality of food, I believe that customer service is the top reason people decide whether or not to come back in to eat!
I wont go back to a restaurant who doesn’t provide friendly customer service, so I wont go back into Panera Bread as a customer!
Trust me, I understand that the food order wont always be ready when I walk into a restaurant, but I dont think its too much to ask, to get an estimated time that the order will be ready, especially when they mark it ready on the app! And at the very least, I dont think its too much to ask to be treated with a little kindness & respect!
A smile is Free! It cost NOTHING when given, but COSTS a lot when withheld!
