Can we please stop glorifying Panera? The food is not “fresh”, it is no different than Subway (bagged produce, bagged soups, etc.). This is a fast-casual chain with sub-par food that is enticing because of how it is marketed and because their products are different from those in the same industry. Every single time I have ordered for delivery, something has been wrong or off. The last time I ordered I got an iced coffee that was truly ALL milk and syrup, absolutely disgusting. That will mark the last time I get food from this chain. 2 stars only because I’ve experienced worse. Note: There’s a chain out West called Kneaders, which is like a version of Panera that is a million times better and some things are actually fresh. If you ever get the chance, GO. I miss it terribly.

Hadn’t been to Panera in over a decade, thought we’d try dinner on a Saturday night at F Park location. Aside from slow service which was expected, they messed up 2 of 2 take out orders, but at least while they were messing up they did it with a smile, so they gained a star. The food received was average at best. So many better local and chain places to eat around Toledo, never going back.

Ordered ham & cheese baguette, got bread instead of baguette. Ordered the steak & cheese sandwich, had no red onions and was basically a baguette, hardly any meat. Re-Ordered ham & cheese baguette no mustard or arugula, had both mustard & arugula! Ordered it to go, but not served to go. So they had to re-make the whole order. Sandwich had hardly any ham, so was pretty much a baguette with cheese sandwich. Charge a lot of $ for basically nothing! Tried Thierry soda pop….tasted terrible! Think had the mixture wrong!

For 2 people, bill came to $50! For a sandwich, bowl of soup, a coffee a salad and a drink! And the cashier didn’t have a clue about any of the food, said “I don’t know, the only thing I’ve had here is the mac ‘n cheese.” The place was filthy, the food was bland at best. My salad was decent, but how can you go wrong with chicken, fruit and vegetables? The decor was lovely, but the floor was filthy, the trash was overflowing, the tables dirty, the dishes stacked up. The drink station, you couldn’t put your cup down anywhere because there was so much pop and juice spilled over it. Never stop here again. And the bread on the side was so hard you could not bite into it.

I hate Panera bread. The portions are small, the food was gross, and they gave me an ice smoothie… My order included a cheese pizza flatbread, a small Mac n cheese and a strawberry banana smoothie. I spent a total of $21 and left
